Domestic filings, limited to the requirements of one family, up to 10 head of livestock, and 1/4 acre of irrigation (1.73 acre-feet), are individually reviewed for potential interference with existing water rights, and some have been approved.
Current PolicyArea 69 Wah Wah / Sevier Lake Valley
Applications are generally limited to small filings proposing to appropriate sufficient water for the requirements of one family, 1/4 acre of irrigation and 10 head of livestock (1.73 acre-feet) or the equivalent amount in other beneficial uses.
Applications are generally only approved upon a showing of immediate need for water and with the presumptions that the applicant has all of the necessary resources and authorities to diligently develop the proposed beneficial uses of water and file proof.
