1. SPASMS has been piloted to 4 RHUs. It presently has 1500 MC and EPI alert messages sent for 300 enrolled clients

2. Activation of the Family Planning notification for current user of contraceptives

3. SMS statistics reporting to the LCEs4. Selection of next implementing RHUs

based on prerequisites

Prerequisites:1. Must have an EMR installed2. Updated maternal care and EPI

encoding3. Availability of USB modem and good

connectivity signal4. Presence of RHU-based monitoring

staff

1. Composed of three components: a. electronic data collection formb. syncing to the RHU-based EMRc. conflict resolution and data validation

2. 5 midwives from Gerona RHU 1 are currently using the electronic data collection form in the pilot phase.

3. A component of the RHU-based system for data syncing is under development and should be ready by June 2012
