MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Community School (PCS) is to provide its students a customized and personalized educational experience leading to high school graduation and meaningful post high school employment, or successful transition to post high school education.

PHILOSOPHY

1. The Community School is a dropout prevention/credit recovery as well as an original credit high school.

2. Provides an academic environment that focuses on the individual strengths and interest of each high school student.

CAREER BASED INTERVENTION (CBI)

1. CBI is a program through the cooperation of the school and the business community, students attend school and then attend employment.

2. Students receive credit (Elective) for both classroom time and time spent on the job.

3. Emphasis is on graduation and becoming productive citizens through instruction and application of employability, occupational, and academic skills.

2. Abide by all the rules outlined in the Pickerington Community School Student Handbook/Code of Conduct.

3. Take more responsibility for my education by working diligently toward the attainment of my high school diploma.

4. Understand that the AM session (6:45/7:15 AM to 10:45/11:15 AM) is highly requested due to student employment opportunities (CBI), athletic participation and transportation. Excessive absences and/or lack of academic progress may result in student withdraw from the AM Session and enrolled into our PM Session (10:00/10:30 AM to 2:00/2:30 PM). A School session is 4 hours after you report for your selected time to attend.
