Following the new industry development visions which aim to increase the company competitiveness by application of, nowadays common, information technologies we have extended our range of products with some new solutions. An easy to implement, in the constructions designed by our company, example is the Pick-to-Light error-proofing system. Combination of the mechanical projects with the flexible automation system allows us to contribute to the development of the ‚Fourth Industrial Revolution’ in our country, also known as Industry 4.0.

Application of the lean manufacturing rules in production, assembly and order preparation processes is one of the possible methods of work efficiency as well as production organisation improvement. It may also contribute to assembly process control and mistake elimination.

Due to the fact that such a processes are mainly operated by a human, they are prone to errors which may have a negative influence on the company image but also may generate huge costs related with their elimination.

Our company offers you the extensive solutions minimising error presence. The only possibility of operator mistaking, which may occur when the system is implemented, takes place when she or he acts on purpose i.e. when we deal with sabotage.

Among the products we may offer, equipped with the multifunctional Pick-to-Light terminal sets, you can find the workstations, material trolleys, racks or supermarkets, all designed with the application of the aluminium framing system.

The terminals, when connected to the proper programmable logic controller, may facilitate the operators work. The signal lights of the terminals turn on in the previously programmed sequence and in the defined colour. The operator is no more supposed to follow the paper assembly or kitting instructions, just acts according to the signals in order to pick the element and mount it in the proper manner.

The compact design resulted in producing the devices of very small general dimensions. A special attention should be paid to the photoelectric transmission type terminals of light barrier shape which size is negligible comparing to the size of the rack. This terminal enables to implement the error-proofing system even to the constructions which have not been designed for such an application.

Due to the wide range of the terminal versions that may be used in the particular application our experts will advise the optimal solution when it comes to the costs and proper operation. Offered product combines the best assets of the solutions proposed by our competitors. Among the performance features of the terminals it is worth to mention:

Neat and simple cable branching method, enabling easy adaptation to the already existing constructions. It also facilitates the designer work since the attention to the cable routes no longer has to be paid. The devoted system of cables and extensions allows to make some corrections or upgrades with no need of the whole cable system revision or change.

The terminals with a mechanical, rotational cover which comprise an interesting alternative to standard terminals. The cover opens only in the case when the product is to be picked. Such a solution should be applied if the picked element is of great importance for the proper operation of the assembled device or if the stored product has to be protected from the influence of the environment.

Different types of the available terminals which allow to implement various functions. The system which does not require from the operator to approve her or his actions may also be offered. Due to this the worker may concentrate only on his duties connected to the production process. The remarkable fact is that our experts are knowledgeable in the topic of the proper programmable logic controller choice for particular projects. The interview with the Client allows to design the system which can be extended in the future. The system may not only signalise the operation sequence but also collect production data from the assembly cell, rack or any other connected construction and then send it to the integrated information system. The error-proofing itself contributes than to the possibility of collecting operator efficiency data or the other data allowing the process optimisation.

Yet another consequence of such solution may be the ergonomics improvement for the operator. The workstation equipped with the Pick-to-Light system and the possibility of the operator identification, e.g. with the use of RFID system, and which has the automated height adjusted applied, may have saved in the memory the parameters preferred by the particular worker. The workstation top level is then automatically adjusted to the height of each and every previously registered operator.

The Pick-to-Light systems may be also connected to the tools used in e.g. manual assembly processes. The operation sequence will not allow the worker to proceed to the next step if e.g. the proper, required torque value will not be generated for the analysed process.

In case of the order picking or kitting the system is able to prepare a report for the operator who supplies the elements in the production cell or line, so that the product delivery will be organised according to the kanban rules.
