Lewis and Clark

Lewis and Clark were adventurers that were sent to explore the Louisiana Purchase. They were sent by President Thomas Jefferson in May 1804. As they traveled on their journey Lewis and Clark met in St. Louis. Before they left, Lewis purchased a Newfoundland dog named Seamen. Lewis and Clark met a Indian lady named Sacagawea. There expedition reaches the Pacific Ocean in November 12 1805. The rest of the expedition was spent in Fort Clatsop in December 1805 to March 1806. Lewis and Clark had a very long journey to explore the Louisiana Purchase.

Lewis and Clark start there Journey

Lewis and Clark met up near the Missouri River near St. Louis. On May 14,1804. They started up the Missouri River. It was important because they were starting there journey. They continued there journey up the river. That is our first point of interest.

Lewis and Clark and SacagaweaSacagawea was an Indian woman from the Shoshone tribe who

accompanied Lewis and Clark on their journey. They met her in October 1804. Sacagawea helped Lewis and Clark around the land. They meet Sacagawea in Fort Mandan. That was our second point of interest.

Reaching the Pacific Lewis and Clark reached the Pacific Ocean on December

25,1805. Lewis and Clark finally reached the Pacific Ocean after a long journey. This was important because it was their destination. Lewis and Clark had completed there

journey.
