WELCOME! Counterpart was founded in Grand Haven, Michigan, in 1974 at the height of the Women's
Movement as a counterpart to the local Rotary club, which at that time did not allow women to become members. Today, Counterpart is an organization that provides an opportunity and
support system for personal and professional growth, networking, and service, supporting local women and children. Membership is open
to all who are interested in expanding their horizons and network of acquaintances. Counterpart serves the Tri-Cities area of Grand
Haven, Spring Lake, and Ferrysburg, and western Ottawa County. Throughout the year, we support women and
children in crisis by giving to The Center for Women in Transition (CWIT) and the People Center through donations, clothing drives, and
benefits. Counterpart also works to nurture self-esteem in girls by supporting such programs as Girls State and Girls on the Run.

DUES AND LUNCH FEES
Annual Dues are $28, due April 1. Dues may be pro-rated if a member joins in the middle of the year.
Lunch Fees are $16 per lunch and are based on charges made to the organization by the
restaurant.
Lunch fees are paid by one of two ways:
Prepaid Members pay in advance for their lunches, either annually ($192) or quarterly (April, July, October, January —$48 per quarter). They must cancel if
unable to attend. Monthly Members make a reservation
and pay at the door for each meeting they attend or reserve to attend.
You MUST make (or cancel) a reservation by
the Monday two weeks prior to the luncheon. Please note that Counterpart is charged for each luncheon plate ordered. Once you make
a reservation, payment for your meal is due even if you cannot attend the luncheon.
To make or cancel reservations, call, text, or
email Renee Strothman: 260.438.8447
MEETINGS
Members and guests meet the first Wednesday of each month at the Spring Lake Country Club for lunch and a program with diverse issues or
areas of interest. To see a schedule and descriptions of upcoming programs, visit our website at: mycounterpart.wordpress.com
Counterpart recognizes that our members are
busy and often have conflicts requiring them to leave a meeting early, or skip a meeting altogether. The Counterpart format gives
members the ability to limit their involvement to the monthly meeting or to expand it by serving as an officer.
TRY US OUT
Membership is open to all who are interested in
personal growth and community service opportunities. Membership dues support service-oriented projects and programs. Guests are welcome to try us out and may attend up to
three times a year. The cost per luncheon is $16.00. But, of course, we hope once you try us on for size, you'll join us!
