This ministry began in June 2014, and it may not be extremely organized as a result. We currently have 13 ministries at high schools across the country, but the goal is to have 2 established high school ministries per year. Volunteers teach Values Orientation in Classroom Education (VOICE) curriculum in the classrooms. They incorporate the Gospel and biblical truth by teaching in a euphemistic way.

JOB DESCRIPTION | Long-term workers will serve as “parent disciplers” to the students by setting the pace of life and providing counseling to those who grew up without a role model. Embracing and understanding the “Insider Ministry” is a must. Having a strong ability to relate to adults and adolescents is essential.

STRATEGIC NEED & OPPORTUNITY | We need workers to join on-going high school ministries in 12 cities. They are located from Northern Luzon to the southern most part of Mindanao. The high school students are poor intellectually and financially and many are verbally and physically abused. The university students have become harder to reach, but if high school students are equipped to share Jesus with their classmates in college, we can strengthen the work on university campuses.

QUALIFICATIONS TEAM: Singles or couples

AGE: 20-39

EXPERIENCE: Basic skills in evangelism and discipleship

LANGUAGE: Be able to carry on simple conversations in Filipino.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS: No professional skills necessary for missionary visa. Ministry skills include experience leading Bible study and highly relatable.

CURRENT TEAM DYNAMICS An established ministry should have a team of stakeholders who can provide funding and leadership. An ideal high school ministry is composed of the teachers, alumni, and friends who are living and doing business around the campus as volunteers.
