Network enlargementInvolve more MS
•Increase of possibilities for Cooperation
•Increased access to scattered know-how
•Increase of national funding resources
•Increase impact on ERA
•Become sustainable
Peter Schintlmeister (BMWFJ, Austria) Research Connection 2009, Prague, May 7th
Common pot Use EC money prudently and only where needed, because it is scarce and availability is limited. Where proximate national interests are covered, MS can provide dedicated funds (cornucopia) for the ultimate aim of building the ERA.ETB translates the EC sponsoring by two orders of magnitude (leverage of FP funding to released national funds) WIN-WIN situation for both EC and MSEndeavours: Increase impact by increasing networkBecome sustainable (Optimize processes and strengthen national commitment)
