ABOUTTHE PET PROFESSIONAL GUILDThe Pet Professional Guild (PPG) is the only completely force-free organization for pet professionals. We strive to have pets liv-ing in homes as valued family members, free from trainingmethods that use physical pain, fear, force, or intimidation. PPG iscommitted to helping its members achieve these goals by provid-ing a higher standard of education, building a strong collaborationof force-free professionals, and by supporting and building net-work opportunities. Our organization is currently made up ofover 3,000 pet professionals spanning several continents, and isgrowing rapidly.

PRESENTERSPPG Summit 2016 will feature over 30 presenters covering allthings canine, feline and equine. Making a return this year is pop-ular 2015 keynote speaker Dr. Karen Overall, who will be joinedby pet industry luminaries such as Dr. Marty Becker, Victoria Stil-well, Ken Ramirez, Malena DeMartini Price and Pamela Dennison.Also making a return are renowned behavior experts ChiragPatel, Pat Miller, Ken McCort, Dr. Soraya Juarbe-Diaz, JanisBradley and Emily Larlham. Miller said at the close of last year’sevent that it was “the best dog training conference ever,” whileMcCort stated that it was “one of the greatest collections of ex-perts… and dog trainers” he had seen in a long time.In addition to the many educational opportunities available

for canine behavior consultants and trainers, feline behavior willhave greater representation at this year’s Summit with the returnof cat specialist Jacqueline Munera. She will be joined by PPG’sFeline Committee chairwoman, Jane Ehrlich, and Dr. Juarbe-Diazfor an expanded program comprising all things feline. Q: Where do I ship my product for the Summit?

A: All vendors shipping packages to the hotel need to includethe name of the person picking up the package and the name ofthe event on the shipping label (see below). As the packages ar-rive, they will be stored in a room allocated specifically for theSummit.

Q: How do I ship my product back home when the Summit isover?

A: In an effort to expedite your shipping needs, we ask that yousecure all of your outgoing packages and label them for theirnext destination. All packages that are ready to be shipped are to be placed in

the Brandon I Meeting Room at the hotel. Please see a frontdesk agent to let them know you need to place your package(s)in the Brandon I Room for shipment as this room is locked forsecurity purposes. Please be sure that all shipping information is correct on the

labels as the hotel cannot be held re-sponsible for any items thatare not picked up by thecarrier due to incompletelabels, or if the pick-up wasnot called in to the preferred car-rier. If you need additional assis-

shuttle service, provided free of charge within a 5 mile radius ofthe hotel. Popular places to visit via the hotel shuttle include AceRange Golf Club, Limona Park and Westfield Brandon Mall. Guestsmay contact the front desk to make reservations. The service isavailable between 7 a.m – 11 p.m. every day of the week.

PET FRIENDLYThe Sheraton Tampa East is a pet friendly hotel and ishappy to accept dogs up to 75 pounds. The hotel requeststhat you let them know ahead of time if you are bringing adog. There is a $25 pet fee, per night. Pets can also enjoythe Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Pet Bed along with bowls touse while at the hotel. The hotel requires that the pet becrated if left unattended and that owners leave their con-tact information with the check-in desk. Service of room

will only be performed with owner present.

TransportationThe Sheraton Tampa East Hotel is approximately 17 miles fromTampa International Airport. The approximate travel time byroad is 25 minutes.

FROM TAMPA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTIf you are arriving by plane we recommend not hiring a car. Parking in Tampa is expensive and the hotels are a short distancefrom the airport. Options for getting to and from the hotels in-clude:
