The lines are a series ofcomplex designs, some up to 984 feet long,which can only be seen in their true dimensionfrom an altitude of at least 1,500 feet. TheNazca culture is not believed to have beencapable of manned flight. But the questionremains as to how they crafted the drawings,what technology they used and what purposethe lines served. These islands,also known as the Guano Islands, constitutethe habitat to a large concentrations of seabirds and sea lion colonies in their naturalenvironment.
