1. National Digital Literacy Programme (NDLP)

1. The NDLP was launched in March 2020 to make digital learning inclusive by equipping students with the digital literacies to be future-ready.

2. Under the NDLP, MOE announced in 2020 that every student will own a school-prescribed personal learning device (PLD) by end-2021. Singapore Citizen students can use their Edusave Account to pay for the PLD.

1. For students on MOE-FAS, subsidies are available even ifthere is insufficient Edusave balance. The cash out-of-pocket will be $0.

2. Subsidies will be provided for SC students who needsupport, particularly those whose Gross HouseholdIncome (GHI) is below $4,000 or Per Capita Income (PCI)#

is below $1,000.

4.Supporting Students in the Safe and Effective Use of the Devices

The school has measures in place to enable a safe and conducive learning environment for students in the use of PLDs for teaching and learning, e.g.

• Classroom management and routines• Educating students on Cyber Wellness• Device Management Application (DMA)

Classroom Management and RoutinesA common set of classroom routines will be shared with ourstudents to guide student-behaviour and this includes:

1. Establishing routines for students to ensure that theirdevices are fully-charged before the start of the day.

2. Preparing and setting up the device before the nextteacher enters the classroom

3. Caring for the device to minimize damage4. Safekeeping of the PLD in the lockers when it is not in use5. Observing online etiquette where students practice

respect for others by displaying positive online behaviours

Educating students on Cyber WellnessMOE has made significant changes to the Character andCitizenship Education. Cyber Wellness lessons will featuresignificantly in the CCE2021 lessons.

Topics covered in the Cyber Wellness lessons include:• Cyber Use• Cyber Identity• Cyber Relationships• Cyber Citizenship• Cyber Ethics

• The Device Management Application (DMA) software willbe installed on all students’ devices to provide a safelearning experience for your child, and to prevent misuseof the device.o Installation of the DMA will be performed after the collection of the device.

student-owned devices

• The DMA will be funded by MOE and will be uninstalledfrom the device when your child graduates/leaves theschool.
