Good night, little snail!
Disaster! When waking up the Ptimounes discover a hole in the shed roof. There’s no way of repairing it - there’s not a single strand of grass lying around anymore. But maybe they could turn this hole into a wonderful window, to gaze up at the sky?
The ptimounes and the Too-cute-for-words little fish
After heavy rainfall, the Pitmounes save the life of a little fish stranded in the middle of a puddle. They look after it and feed it… but they are not prepared for what happens when the little fish grows…
Winter is coming and the Ptimounes are gathering food in the woods. When one of them says that she saw a mons-ter, they don’t believe her. But later on when they cross the path of the monster, they run home, scared to death. Even-tually, they realise that it was their friend, Bigtoune, who was playing a prank on them.
The Ptimounes help a poor snail who broke his shell. They bring him to their home to help him recover. But winter is coming and the snail needs a full belly and a place to go to hibernate so Bise offers her shed. Before letting the snail sleep until spring, the Ptimounes organise a little feast.

Alizé on horseback, Earthworm the storm charmer, Bise the tamer of wild beasts…Soon everyone is ready, and the show is in full flow, and a playful mess. À l’aventure!
To escape a bad situation, you have to be resourceful…
The Ptimounes decide to go outdoor exploring and camping. Here they are with blankets and kites for a night under the stars. But while they stroll along, heavy rain begins to fall, forcing them to take shelter under large mushrooms for the whole night. In the morning, they are surrounded by water! How can they get out? Fortuntaely, Zéphyr has an idea: with the help of their kites, they can escape!

Here is an inventory of little pleasures which make up childhood, introduced like flicking through a picture book or browsing a photo album. On each page the child discovers a letter – or a word, if you want to skip the ABCs–, illustrated by an object or gesture or a nice time of day, and a relevant nursery rhyme.
This beautiful object, full of colour and charm, offers mo-ments of happiness to be shared or enjoyed alone.

Look out, here’s a revolution in book making! Books with sound no longer need to rely on pressing on a sound chip: now you can just turn the pages and listen. In each title, familiar sounds are put into context: from cow to cockerel; Fire engines to trains; vacuum cleaner to door bell; Tiger to elephant…! And what’s more, a little bird mascot guides us through each page, speaking to us throughout each book.

The factual information book introduces children to the different vegetable families - enjoy the appetising colours of carrots, peas, or juicy tomatoes. They will learn to reco-gnise the gardener’s minibeast friends, like the earthworm, but also its enemies, like the greedy snail who likes to eat the whole garden.A memory game of 46 illustrated cards accompany the book. The player who has gathered the largest number of pairs of the same picture wins. But be careful, if a player returns one of two «Undesirable» cards, they must lose a turn! Hugo is a fire-fighter. At the fire station, he is always wea-ring his uniform. The first thing he does in the morning is to inspect his equip-ment and his trucks. There are different types of trucks: the ambulance for when there are accidents, the water tender which contains water, and the fire-engine with its tall lad-der... Page by page, the child follows Hugo through his daily activities, whether it is training at the gymnasium, putting out a fire, or climbing up a ladder to rescue little Margot!
Sophie is a vet. In her surgery she tends to cats and dogs but also many other animals such as rabbits, ferrets, and tortoises. This morning, the waiting room is very busy! Theo walks in with his little two months old puppy that needs to be vaccinated. On the examination table Sophie uses her stethoscope to listen to his heartbeat… And so the child fol-lows Sophie throughout her daily work, whether it is placing bandages, tending to the animals who stay overnight in the surgery, or rushing out to give birth to a little foal!

Reading the story allows the child to discover the world and satisfy their curiosity while improving their knowledge. The text is adapted to the reading level for 6 year-olds (Year 2), new notions are explained, and fun exercises help consoli-date understanding and support reading. At the end of the book three richly-illustrated double-page spreads encourage the child to join the adult in further exploring all there is to know about horses and ponies.
