Casalgrande Padana è in grado di rispondere esaurientemente a qualsiasi esigenza di progetto

attraverso la fornitura di materiali e tecnologie capaci di soddisfare le specifiche prestazionali richieste

per applicazioni e utilizzi particolari, in tutti gli ambiti di intervento architettonico.

Il Centro Ricerche dell’azienda, mettendo a frutto l’enorme bagaglio di conoscenze e competenze

specialistiche, accumulato in oltre quarant’anni di attività e successi sui mercati internazionali,

ha sviluppato una serie di prodotti innovativi e soluzioni tecniche all’avanguardia sia nelle

pavimentazioni che nei rivestimenti, mediante i quali è possibile trovare risposte adeguate alle

necessità delle moderne costruzioni.

Le tematiche affrontate in questo numero monografico di “Percorsi in ceramica” fanno riferimento

ad aspetti emergenti e di grande attualità, quali: i rivestimenti di facciata, con un approfondimento

sulla tecnologia della parete ventilata; i pavimenti sopraelevati per gli ambienti di lavoro contemporanei

e i pavimenti galleggianti per esterni; le pavimentazioni industriali e gli impieghi speciali per tipologie

d’intervento particolarmente gravose a livello prestazionale; le soluzioni per favorire la massima fruibilità

degli spazi pubblici e l’abbattimento delle barriere architettoniche, attraverso la realizzazione di percorsi

guida per disabili visivi; le piscine, con le soluzioni proposte per i vari tipi d’impianto.

Ogni argomento è sviluppato presentando le tecnologie e i prodotti specifici messi a punto

da Casalgrande Padana, evidenziando gli aspetti applicativi, le prestazioni tecniche e le qualità estetiche

dei materiali, oltre alle tipologie d’intervento. L’esposizione è supportata dalle schede dei prodotti

e da un’ampia rassegna di realizzazioni che esemplificano concretamente le applicazioni.

Soluzioni innovative per l’architettura contemporanea. I prodotti ceramici di nuova

generazione proposti da Casalgrande Padana sono ampiamente utilizzati nella moderna

architettura anche nelle applicazioni a più alto contenuto tecnologico, quali le pareti venti-

late e le pavimentazioni sopraelevate. In questi ambiti d’intervento, che richiedono la mas-

sima affidabilità dei materiali, l’azienda propone gli elementi in grès porcellanato

Granitogres, Marmogres e Pietre Native che si adattano perfettamente a qualsiasi sistema

strutturale, garantendo elevate prestazioni tecniche a cui si aggiungono notevoli livelli qua-

litativi sul piano estetico e compositivo.

Prestazioni tecniche specifiche. L’impiego di questi materiali ceramici evoluti nei rive-

stimenti di facciata e nelle pavimentazioni sopraelevate risulta particolarmente indicato

prima di tutto grazie alle proprietà tecniche che li contraddistinguono. Ingelivi, inassorbenti,

di facile pulizia e manutenzione, gli elementi in grès porcellanato Granitogres, Marmogres

e Pietre Native sono caratterizzati da elevati valori di resistenza alla flessione, all’usura,

all’abrasione, agli attacchi chimici, agli agenti atmosferici e inquinanti. Utilizzati come

paramento esterno nelle facciate architettoniche, questi prodotti sono in grado di aumenta-

re le prestazioni termo-igrometriche delle pareti rivestite. Le facciate ventilate di

Casalgrande Padana permettono, infatti, di sfruttare al meglio l’inerzia termica dei materia-

li e la riflessione dei raggi solari, in modo da contenere la dispersione del calore nella sta-

gione fredda e favorire il suo accumulo in condizioni climatiche opposte. Allo stesso modo,

nelle pavimentazioni sopraelevate, accanto ai requisiti indispensabili di resistenza a urti,

usura e calpestio, il grès porcellanato associa le caratteristiche di antistaticità e resistenza

all’azione del fuoco, particolarmente richieste in alcune applicazioni in ambito pubblico e ter-

ziario.

Ampia gamma di soluzioni nei formati, nelle superfici e nei colori. Ma è nella pro-

posta a livello estetico e compositivo che il grès porcellanato di Casalgrande Padana si

dimostra superiore, grazie alla disponibilità di una differenziata gamma di formati, superfici

e colori, che, interagendo e combinandosi trasversalmente, consentono ampie possibilità

applicative. Negli ambiti d’intervento riferiti alle pareti ventilate e ai pavimenti sopraeleva-

ti questi elementi ceramici sono in grado di fornire soluzioni adeguate alle specifiche di pro-

getto più esigenti, con notevoli possibilità di personalizzazione. Per le pareti ventilate sono

disponibili le lastre in grandi formati che caratterizzano questa tecnologia applicativa: dal

consolidato 30x60 al tipico 60x60 fino al nuovo 60x120, prossimamente disponibile.

Analogamente, per le pavimentazioni sopraelevate si possono ottenere le composizioni

desiderate combinando vari formati modulari (dal 30x30 al 60x60). Anche sul piano delle fini-

ture, l’offerta risulta qualificata da soluzioni estremamente differenziate con superfici natu-

rali, satinate, levigate, bocciardate, strutturate e rustiche, che permettono non solo di sele-

zionare i materiali adeguati per ogni specifica esigenza progettuale, ma anche di combinar-

li tra loro, in modo da ottenere inedite composizioni materiche. Infine, l’ampiezza della

gamma cromatica, dove l’offerta si articola in tre grandi famiglie di colori che partendo dalle

tonalità calde (bruni, rossi, gialli, beige), passano attraverso i neutri (bianchi, grigi e neri) per

arrivare ai freddi (azzurri, blu, verdi). La proposta si arricchisce ulteriormente a livello esteti-

co e compositivo con la possibilità di combinare cromaticamente tra loro le diverse serie,

ognuna caratterizzata da particolari proprietà materiche presenti in tutta la massa della pia-

strella e non solo sulla superficie. Si passa così dall’omogeneità assoluta delle tinte unite

sature di colore (Unicolore) alle superfici puntiformi e granulate a effetto granito (Granito 1,

Granito 2, Granito 3, Novecento), alle morbide sfumature e venature in profondità dei mar-

morizzati (Marte, Marmogres) fino alle superfici materiche che ripropongono le suggestioni

gli elementi compositivi primari per realizzare involucri edilizi e superfici tecnologiche di

grande qualità architettonica, permettendo al progettista di esprimere liberamente la pro-

pria creatività.

Facciate ventilate. Nel settore delle pareti ventilate, Casalgrande Padana, che da molti

anni collabora con i principali produttori di sistemi strutturali, è in grado di fornire elementi

ceramici per qualsiasi tipologia applicativa e sistema di ancoraggio, con fissaggio a vista o

a scomparsa, assicurando il necessario supporto di assistenza tecnica alla progettazione e

posa in opera. Costituita da una sottostruttura portante fissata alla muratura, uno strato iso-

lante, un’intercapedine di aerazione e un paramento esterno in grès porcellanato (Granito-

gres, Marmogres e Pietre Native), la facciata ventilata di Casalgrande Padana, oltre a forni-

re una valida soluzione tecnologica sul piano della protezione e del comportamento termico

della costruzione, contribuisce alla definizione della qualità architettonica dell’edificio, con-

sentendo la messa a punto di soluzioni calibrate su specifiche esigenze di progetto.

Granitogres

Materiali ceramici evoluti,pienamente vetrificati e coloratinella massa. Ampiamenteutilizzati nella nuova architettura enel recupero, per opere dipavimentazione e rivestimento(anche in esterni), con ampiepossibilità applicative e sul pianocreativo attraverso una grandevarietà compositiva di colori,superfici, formati e decori checonsentono soluzioni innovative epersonalizzate.

Marmogres

Materiali ad elevato contenutoestetico, oltre che prestazionale,che ripropongono i colori e i decoriraffinati e preziosi del marmo.Caratterizzati dalla particolaretecnica di penetrazione degli agenticoloranti all’interno della piastrellache assicura continuità cromaticanella massa e varietà nei decori,sempre diversi. Particolarmenteindicati per rivestimenti di pareti epavimenti in ambito residenziale eterziario.

Pavimenti sopraelevati. I sistemi di pavimentazione sopraelevata trovano largo impiego

all’interno di uffici e ambienti di lavoro, dove, senza necessità di interventi murari, favori-

scono un utilizzo razionale e flessibile degli spazi per disporre agevolmente di reti di distri-

buzione, di trasmissione e di automazione. In questo settore applicativo, Casalgrande

Padana offre un’ampia gamma di soluzioni modulari, che consentono molteplici possibilità

progettuali e di personalizzazione dell’intervento. Il sistema si basa essenzialmente sull’uti-

lizzo di tecnologie specifiche già esistenti (fornite direttamente dai produttori specializzati

con cui l’azienda collabora da anni), a cui si aggiungono le lastre in grès porcellanato

Granitogres, Marmogres e Pietre Native. Il pacchetto completo comprende le strutture

metalliche sopraelevate, gli elementi modulari di supporto e la piastrella, che viene prodot-

ta da Casalgrande Padana con apposite dimensioni, calibrature e bordature, nonché finiture

superficiali adeguate alle specifiche applicazioni.

Pavimenti galleggianti per esterni. Gli elementi Granitogres nelle serie a spessore mag-

giorato (14/15 mm) e con finitura superficiale specifica (Matt e Roccia) sono utilizzati anche

nelle applicazioni di pavimentazioni galleggianti per esterni, dove le lastre in grès porcella-

nato, nel formato 40x40, vengono montate su appositi elementi angolari di supporto in pvc.

Anche in questo caso, il piano pavimentale rimane rialzato, lasciando al di sotto un’interca-

pedine tecnica facilmente ispezionabile per qualsiasi intervento di manutenzione (strato di

supporto, manto impermeabilizzante, reti impiantistiche ecc.). Studiato per impieghi all’e-

sterno (terrazzi, porticati, camminamenti, bordi piscina ecc.), il pavimento galleggiante

Casalgrande Padana assicura un regolare deflusso delle acque meteoriche, evitando feno-

meni di ristagno. Oltre ai necessari requisiti di resistenza al gelo e all’azione degli agenti

atmosferici, le lastre Granitogres presentano adeguate prestazioni di sicurezza (antiscivolo)

ed elevate caratteristiche di resistenza al carico di rottura (Kg 350 circa).

prestazioni funzionali della ceramica in esterno, in particolare nelle pareti ventilate,

Revêtements de façade pour unearchitecture durable. Pour améliorer lesperformances fonctionnelles de la céramique enextérieur, notamment sur les façades ventilées,Casalgrande Padana a actuellement à l’étude uncarreau à âme écologique, dénommé Bios, dontle prototype a été présenté récemment. Ceproduit, encore dans sa phase expérimentale, est

caractérisé par un traitement superficiel de toutedernière conception, étudié spécialement pourcombattre les effets de la pollution, à travers unprocessus photocatalytique absolumentécologique et tout à fait semblable à laphotosynthèse. Le carreau contient dessubstances ayant des propriétésphotocatalytiques qui, grâce à l’action de lalumière, réagissent, de manière complètementnaturelle, face aux agents polluants présentsdans l’atmosphère, en les rendantbiodégradables. A travers l’énergie lumineuse,les photocatalyseurs présents sur la surfacecéramique activent un processus d’oxydationaccéléré capable de décomposer les substancestoxiques organiques et inorganiques, en lestransformant en composants inoffensifs et éco-efficaces, facilement lavables par les pluies. L’action oxydante qui se développe sur le carreaurend la surface hyperhydrofuge etautonettoyante, ce qui permet de prévenirl’accumulation de la salissure et d’améliorer lalongévité esthétique du revêtement. Zum vollständigen Paket gehören die auf Füßenstehenden Metallstruktur, das modulareTragelement und die Fliese, die von CasalgrandePadana in besonderen Abmessungen, mitspeziellen Toleranzen und Kanten, wie auch mitpassenden Oberflächenbeschaffenheiten für dieSpezialanwendungen hergestellt wird.

Schwimmende Bodenbeläge für denAußenbereich. Die Granitogres Elemente inden Serien mit Überstärke (14/15 mm) und mitbesonderer Oberfläche (Matt und Roccia) werdenauch in den Anwendungen für schwimmendeBodenbeläge im Außenbereich verwendet, wodie Feinsteinzugplatten im Format 40x40 aufbesondere Tragelemente aus PVC montiertwerden. DiesesProdukt, das noch in der Versuchsphase steckt,zeichnet sich durch eine Oberflächenbehandlungneuartiger Konzeption aus, die speziellentwickelt wurde, um die Auswirkungen derLuftverschmutzung durch einen absolutumweltfreundlichen fotokatalytischen Prozess zu

bekämpfen, der dem Ablauf der Fotosyntheseentspricht. Die Fliese enthält Substanzen mitfotokatalytischen Eigenschaften, die durch dasLicht induziert auf vollkommen natürliche Weisemit den in der Luft vorhandenenVerschmutzungsteilchen reagieren und diesebiologisch abbaubar machen. Durch dieLichtenergie leiten die auf der Fliesenoberflächevorhandenen Fotokatalysatoren einenbeschleunigten Oxydationsprozess ein, der in derLage ist, die anorganischen und organischenGiftstoffe zu zersetzen und sie in unschädliche,für die Umwelt verträgliche Komponentenumzuwandeln, die mit den Niederschlägeneinfach abgewaschen werden können. Die oxydierende Wirkung, die sich auf der Flieseentwickelt, macht ihre Oberflächehyperhydrophob und selbstreinigend, so dasssich kein Schmutz darauf ansammeln kann unddie Verkleidung länger schön aussieht. Dasgewährleistet eine bessere Sauberkeit und einebessere Wartung auf Zeit. Es handelt sich alsoum eine Anwendung mit nachhaltigerEntwicklung, die als extrem innovativ zubetrachten ist und damit auch geeignet, denEinsatz der Keramik im städtischen Bild nochweiter zu entwickeln, vor allem im Bereich derFassadenverkleidungen.

Materiali tecnici per ambienti difficili. Il progetto e la realizzazione degli spazi indu-

striali, commerciali e pubblici a traffico intenso esige l’impiego di materiali per pavi-

mentazione e rivestimento idonei a soddisfare le specifiche richieste per questi utilizzi

pesanti. In questi ambienti difficili, dove le superfici sono sottoposte costantemente a

grande stress fisico e tutte le sollecitazioni raggiungono gradi elevatissimi, le piastrelle

in grès porcellanato Casalgrande Padana riescono a interpretare al meglio le loro poten-

zialità tecnico-prestazionali. Completamente privi di smalti e composti da una materia

durissima, in cui il colore è parte integrante del corpo stesso, questi elementi ceramici

sono in grado di assolvere qualsiasi esigenza di progetto, risultando particolarmente indi-

cati proprio negli impieghi più gravosi.

Pavimentazioni Granitogres Technic. L’applicabilità del prodotto Casalgrande

Padana in queste condizioni è favorita soprattutto dalla disponibilità della serie

Granitogres Technic, specificatamente studiata per le applicazioni in ambito industriale

e gli impieghi speciali. Prodotte in quattro formati modulari (cm 15x15-12,5x25-20x20-

30x30) e in un’ampia scelta di colori, le piastrelle Technic sono contraddistinte da super-

fici strutturate antiscivolo, spessori maggiorati (mm 8,5-11,5-14,5) e pezzi speciali di

completamento. Particolarmente interessante è la disponibilità del modulo 12,5x25 cm,

sia nella versione per pavimento che per rivestimento (grès porcellanato smaltato).

Questa tipologia di piastrelle, che riprende quella tradizionalmente utilizzata nelle appli-

cazioni industriali, soprattutto nel settore agroalimentare, è completata da un’ampia

Prestazioni tecniche. In presenza di condizioni applicative estreme gli elementi

Technic dimostrano di possedere eccezionali proprietà di resistenza, semplicità di manu-

tenzione e igiene. Acidi (escluso l’acido fluoridrico), solventi, oli, cemento e sostanze chi-

miche non ne modificano minimamente la struttura e l’aspetto; forti carichi statici e dina-

mici, calpestio, vibrazioni continue e urti non riescono né a romperli né a scalfirli; umi-

dità, gelo, fuoco ed escursioni termiche abnormi non li intaccano. Con queste piastrelle,

inoltre, si possono raggiungere importanti risultati nel settore della sicurezza relativa ai

rischi di scivolamento per garantire, in modo ottimale, le pavimentazioni degli ambienti

pubblici e dei luoghi di transito, delle strutture industriali e degli impianti natatori. La

disponibilità di otto differenti finiture superficiali strutturate, con differenziate proprietà

antiscivolo (rigorosamente a norma DIN 51130), consente di rispondere a ogni condizio-

ne e necessità d’impiego.

Tipologie d’intervento. Opportunamente selezionate negli spessori e nelle superfici, le

piastrelle Technic rappresentano una soluzione ottimale ed esteticamente sempre valida

in molti settori dell’industria (dalla meccanica alla chimica fino all’agroalimentare), nel-

Technical materials for difficult places.Industrial, business and public buildingssubjected to intense traffic need floor and wallmaterials able to withstand these heavy-dutyuses. And it is in these difficult places, where thesurfaces are constantly subjected to incrediblephysical stress that reaches the very highestdegrees, that Casalgrande Padana refinedporcelain stoneware tiles are able to express alltheir technical-performance potential.Completely free from glazes and formed by anextremely hard material, where color is anintegral part of the actual body, these ceramictiles are able to resolve any planningrequirement and are particularly suitable for theheaviest duty uses.

Floors in Granitogres Technic. TheCasalgrande Padana product most able towithstand these conditions is the GranitogresTechnic series, specifically researched forindustrial applications and special uses.Available in four modular formats (15x15-12.5x25-20x20-30x30 cm) and a wide choice ofcolors, Technic tiles feature a structured non-slipsurface, increased thickness (8.5-11.5-14.5 mm)and special pieces to complete the installations.The 12.5x25 cm format is of particular interestand is available for both floors and walls (glazedrefined porcelain stoneware). This type of tile, which reflects the onestraditionally used in industrial environments(especially in the food sector) is completed by awide range of special pieces such as channels,skirting, end pieces, drip troughs, corners andedging that join floors and walls together in aperfect way so as to achieve uniform technical

and functional characteristics in any roomsetting.

Technical performances. All the exceptionalproperties of the Technic tiles come to the fore inextreme conditions, i.e. they’re strong, simple toservice and hygienic. Acids (with the exception ofhydrofluoric acid), solvents, oils, cement andchemicals are unable to modify their structureand aspect to even the tiniest extent; heavystatic and dynamic loads, pedestrian traffic,continuous vibrations and impact will neitherbreak nor crack them; humidity, frost, fire andabnormal temperature variations will not affectthem in any way. Moreover, use of these tiles canachieve important results when it comes tosafety as they are non-slip. This makes themideal for the floors of public buildings, highlyfrequented places, industrial buildings andswimming pools. Dans ces environnements difficiles, où lessurfaces sont constamment soumises à un grandstress physique et où toutes les sollicitationsatteignent des niveaux très élevés, les carreauxen grès cérame Casalgrande Padana arrivent àinterpréter au mieux leur potentiel dans lesprestations techniques.Complètement privés d’émaux et formés d’unematière très dure, dont la couleur fait partieintégrante du corps, ces éléments céramiquespeuvent satisfaire n’importe quelle exigence deprojet, en s’avérant particulièrement indiquésjustement dans les emplois les pluscontraignants.

ad una maggiore consapevolezza del proprio ruolo da parte della sfera progettuale, sicu-

ramente aiutata da una legislazione più precisa e adeguata in materia.

Percorsi di orientamento per disabili visivi. In particolare, per quanto riguarda i

disabili visivi, l’esigenza di una maggiore autonomia nei loro spostamenti, si va sempre

più affermando. Per contribuire in maniera determinante a favorire gli spostamenti auto-

nomi e la sicurezza di non vedenti ed ipovedenti, così come dei moltissimi anziani la cui

acutezza visiva risulta notevolmente ridotta, è stato progettato il sistema di segnaletica

a pavimento Loges, costituito da particolari superfici tattili visivamente contrastate, arti-

colate in codici informativi di semplice comprensione, che consentono la realizzazione di

percorsi-guida fornendo informazioni e criteri di orientamento, attraverso il senso tattile

plantare e il bastone bianco.

segnaletica tattile Loges (patent n.00237769) utilizza un linguaggio speciale, impresso su

piastrelle in grès fine porcellanato Granitogres, capace di garantire una maggiore autono-

mia e sicurezza ai disabili visivi nei loro spostamenti orientandoli mediante un percorso-

guida. Scanalature e calotte sferiche, posizionate in direzioni e con angolature differenti,

sono legate a codici specifici, che segnalano linee d'arresto, gradini, incroci e deviazioni. Gli

elementi modulari sulla superficie sono percepibili al tatto plantare, manuale (tramite il

Guided routeways for the blind

Solutions that get the most out of theavailable space. Whatever its function may be,when it comes to planning a public or privatebuilding, the main goal must be to ensure that it isfully accessible and by all users-citizens inconditions of absolute safety. This must be doneby employing specific solutions that do away withall architectural impediments while making thingseasy for various types of disabled persons. Lots ofprogress has been made during the past fewyears, also thanks to the planners’ greaterawareness of their role. This has been certainlyaided by more precise and adequate lawsgoverning the sector.

Guided routeways for the visually disabled.The need for greater autonomy is becomingincreasingly more pressing for the blind. And tohelp the visually disabled, as well as many elderlypeople whose sight is not good, to become self-sufficient and safe in their movements,Casalgrande Padana has designed the Logesfloors featuring particular tactile and visuallycontrasting surfaces that form information codesboth simple to read and understand. These areused to form routeways that provide informationand orientation criteria through the tactile senseof the feet and the white stick.

Casalgrande Padana Loges system. Producedby Casalgrande Padana, the Loges tactilerouteway system (patent N° 00237769) uses a

special language impressed on Granitogresrefined porcelain stoneware tiles that makes thevisually disabled more self-sufficient and safe intheir movements by guiding them along arouteway. Solutions pour favoriser l’utilisationmaximum des espaces. L’étude de projet d’unespace public ou privé, quelque soit sa fonction,doit nécessairement favoriser l’utilisationmaximum et la pleine accessibilité en toutesécurité de chaque pièce de la part de tous lespublics d’utilisateurs, en adoptant des solutionsspécifiques capables soit d’éviter la formation debarrières architecturales, soit de faciliter lesdifférentes formes d’handicaps. De grands progrèsont été faits dans cette direction au cours de cesdernières années, grâce aussi à une plus grandeconscience prise par l’univers des concepteurs,certainement aidés par une législation plus préciseet appropriée en la matière.

Parcours d’orientation pour non-voyants. Ence qui concerne les non-voyants en particulier,l’exigence d’une plus grande autonomie dans leursdéplacements, est en train de s’affirmer de plus enplus. Pour contribuer de manière déterminante àfavoriser les déplacements autonomes et lasécurité des mal voyants et des aveugles, ainsique d’un grand nombre de personnes âgées dontl’acuité visuelle est considérablement réduite,nous avons conçu un système signalétiquedénommé Loges. Il est formé de surfaces tactiles àcontraste visuel, articulées en codes d’informationà compréhension simplifiée, qui permettent deréaliser des parcours-guide en donnant desinformations et des critères d’orientation, à traversle sens tactile du pied et la canne blanche.

In den letzten Jahren sind vieleFortschritte in dieser Richtung gemacht worden,nicht zuletzt dank eines besseren Bewusstseinsder eigenen Rolle, welche die Welt der Planungspielt, die dabei bestimmt auch durch einegenauere und adäquatere Gesetzgebung eineHilfestellung erhalten hat.

Orientierungswege für Sichtbehinderte.Insbesondere bei Sichtbehinderten wächst dasErfordernis nach einer größeren Autonomie fürihre Fortbewegung ganz stark. Um einenausschlaggebenden Beitrag zu leisten, der beider unabhängigen Fortbewegung dieser Gruppeder Bevölkerung hilft und mehr Sicherheit fürBlinde und Sehschwache zu schaffen, so wie essehr viele ältere Leute sind, bei denen dieSichtstärke im Laufe der Jahre abnimmt, wurdedas System Loges geschaffen, ein im Fußbodenangeordnetes Signalisierungssystem, das ausbesonderen durch den Tastsinn zu erforschendenOberflächen mit visueller Markierung besteht.Dieses gliedert sich in leicht verständlicheInformationscodes, mit denen man Leitwegeschaffen kann, um Informationen undOrientierungshilfen bieten, und zwar über denTastsinn der Fußsohle und den manuellenTastsinn mit dem weißen Blindenstock.

Progettare con l’acqua. Il settore delle piscine e degli impianti natatori in genere

attraversa un momento particolarmente favorevole che si manifesta con un andamento

di mercato costantemente in crescita e una domanda estremamente differenziata, molto

esigente e fortemente orientata alla qualità. La piscina interpreta il desiderio del mare a

portata di mano e se fino a qualche tempo fa rappresentava un lusso per pochi (la pisci-

na privata) o un’opportunità non sempre disponibile a tutti (l’impianto pubblico), certa-

Un programma completo di piastrelle e pezzi speciali in grès porcellanato fine, che assi-

curano le necessarie prestazioni tecniche, funzionali, di igiene e di sicurezza, unitamen-

te ad ampie possibilità in termini espressivi e compositivi, grazie alla disponibilità di una

Prestazioni tecniche. Questi prodotti, che scaturiscono dalla collaudata esperienza di

Casalgrande Padana nella produzione di grès porcellanato, sono caratterizzati da eleva-

te prestazioni di resistenza agli acidi e alle basi (con unica esclusione dell’acido fluori-

drico), resistenza dei colori alla luce e ai raggi UV, resistenza al gelo e agli sbalzi termi-

ci. I materiali Padana Piscine, inoltre, resistono alla corrosione e non imputridiscono,

hanno ottima resistenza all’impatto e alle sollecitazioni meccaniche.

Oggetto del concorso Il Grand Prix Casalgrande Padana è un concorsointernazionale di architettura che seleziona epremia quei professionisti che, attraverso la loroopera, meglio hanno saputo utilizzare evalorizzare le proprietà tecniche e le potenzialitàespressive degli elementi in grès porcellanatoGranitogres, Marmogres, Pietre Native e PadanaPiscine.

Requisiti per la partecipazionePossono partecipare al premio tutti i progettisti(architetti, ingegneri, designer, arredatori diinterni, studi tecnici privati o pubblici, studiprofessionali di architettura e decorazione diinterni, ecc.), che abbiano realizzato opere in cuisono stati impiegati i materiali delle lineeGranitogres, Marmogres, Pietre Native e PadanaPiscine per pavimentazioni e/o rivestimenti diqualsiasi tipo. Le candidature possono esserepresentate da professionisti singoli o da gruppicon la nomina di un capogruppo.

Opere ammesse al concorsoCiascun partecipante può presentare una o piùopere; è suo compito e responsabilità assicurareil consenso del committente e/o del proprietarioalla presentazione e all’utilizzo dell’opera stessae dei materiali relativi. Possono esserepresentati progetti realizzati con un impiego diGranitogres, Marmogres, Pietre Native e PadanaPiscine in qualsiasi campo dell’edilizia pubblica eprivata, in interni e in esterni, sia nelle nuovecostruzioni che negli interventi di ristrutturazionee ripristino dell’esistente. Giuria e criteri di valutazioneLa premiazione delle opere è affidata ad unaGiuria internazionale, composta da professionistidi chiara fama nel campo dell’architettura e deldesign e dal presidente di Casalgrande Padana,che la presiede. Ciascun membro assegna adogni opera un punteggio con giudizio imparzialee insindacabile. I criteri di valutazione utilizzati per la formazionedella graduatoria faranno riferimento agli aspetti

progettuali, applicativi e di valorizzazione delmateriale ceramico sul piano della composizionearchitettonica, della creatività, della funzionalità,della messa in opera, delle finiture e dello studiodei particolari. A garanzia dell’imparzialità,qualora un membro abbia interesse diretto aduna determinata opera è tenuto a dichiararlo ead astenersi dalla valutazione. Il punteggio disua competenza sarà in questo caso sostituitocon la media aritmetica dei punti assegnati daglialtri membri della Giuria. Per l’assegnazione deipremi saranno definitive e vincolanti le decisionidella Giuria. La partecipazione al Grand Prix CasalgrandePadana implica automaticamente l’accettazionedel presente regolamento. Per quanto non fossequi previsto si applicheranno le leggi e leconsuetudini riconosciute in campo nazionale.Per eventuali controversie, il foro competente èquello di Reggio-Emilia.

PremiLa dotazione complessiva dei premi è di 37.200 euro. RegulationsInternational ArchitectureCompetition

Subject of the competition The Grand Prix Casalgrande Padana is aninternational architecture competition thatselects and awards those professionals who,through their work, have best known how to useand exploit the technical features and expressivepossibilities of the “Granitogres”, “Marmogres”,“Pietre Native” and “Padana Piscine” porcelainstoneware elements.

Requirements for taking partAll designers (architects, engineers, designers,interior decorators, private or public technicalstudios, professional architecture and interiordecorating firms, etc) who have carried outworks in which materials in the Granitogres,Marmogres, Pietre Native and Padana Piscinelines have been used for floorings and/or wallcoverings of any type, can compete for theprizes. Applications can be made by singleprofessionals or by groups with the appointmentof a group leader.

Works admitted to the competitionEach participant can submit one or more works;it’s their task and responsibility to obtain theconsent of the purchaser and/or owner for thesubmission and use of the work and its relativematerials. Projects completed using Granitogres,Marmogres, Pietre Native or Padana Piscineelements in any public or private building field, ininteriors or exteriors, either in new constructionsor in renovation and restoration work on anexisting construction, can be submitted. Works carried out in the period 2002-2003-2004-2005-2006 can take part in the seventh edition ofthe competition.

Methods of applicationRegistration in the Grand Prix CasalgrandePadana is free. The necessary documentation for registration iscomposed of: - The participation sheet (attached or to berequested) duly filled out in all parts; - A brief report on the project (maximum 60 lines)describing the work in general terms; - Photographic documentation of the project in(at least) 5 photos in the digital format (highdefinition 300 dpi, in the A4 format), colourphotos or slides of minimum size cm 6x6;

- Drawings, graphic charts or any otherdocumentation (in the A3 or A4 format) useful forevaluating the overall quality (not only inarchitectural terms but also in functional terms)of the project submitted. Candidates must submit their application bypost, sending the required documentation to:“Segreteria del Grand Prix c/o CasalgrandePadana, Strada Statale 467, n. 73, 42013 Casalgrande (RE), Italy”. The closing date for sending applications forregistration is 31 December 2006; for thispurpose reference shall be made to the poststamp date. The documentation and photographic materialmust be suitably protected upon their dispatch.Failing this, the organisers are not responsiblefor any damages.Unless otherwise informed, the material isconsidered as being received in perfect state.

Treatment and publication of registered works Materials submitted shall not be returned. Upon registration, the candidates authorise theorganisers to use the photographicdocumentation for promotional purposes and inthe ways held to be most suitable, together withnecessary reference indications (identification ofthe work, the designer, the location, the year ofconstruction).Participants accept that the organisers of thecompetition cannot be the subject of any claimsmade as a result of such uses. In any case, theorganisers are exonerated from any liabilitytowards third parties. Participants can use any award or recognitionreceived, for promotional purpose, provided thatthe prize or recognition is correctly cited.

Jury and evaluation criteriaThe awarding of works is assigned to aninternational Jury, composed of professionals ofestablished international fame in thearchitecture and design field, and by thepresident of Casalgrande Padana, who acts aschairman of the jury. Each member assigns ascore to each work according to their impartialand unquestionable judgement. The evaluation criteria used for drawing up aclassification relate to aspects concerningplanning, application and use of the ceramicmaterial in relation to the architecturalcomposition, creativity, functionality, installation,finishes and research into details.

For the purpose of guaranteeing impartiality,should a member have a direct interest in aspecific work, he/she is bound to declare thisinterest and to abstain from evaluation. Their score is replaced by an arithmetic averageof the score assigned by the other members of the Jury. For the awarding of the prizes, the decisions ofthe jury shall be definitive and binding. Participation in the Grand Prix CasalgrandePadana automatically implies acceptance ofthese regulations. With regards to any mattersnot provided for, reference shall be made to thelaws in force and to the commonly recognisedprinciples in the national field. In the event of any disputes, the competent courtshall be that of Reggio Emilia.

PrizesThe overall sum of prizes is 37,200 euro. The following shall be awarded:4 prizes of 5,200 euro each to the First classified4 prizes of 2,600 euro each to the Secondclassified4 prizes of 1,500 euro each to the Third classifiedfor projects judged to be the most important ineach of the following application fields:- Floorings and wall coverings Shopping and office centres (large surface-area) - Floorings and wall coveringsPublic and service industry buildings, Industrialbuildings, Others - Floorings and wall coveringsResidential buildings- Floorings and wall coveringsFacade coverings and external floorings andswimming poolsAll candidates properly registered will be givenan interesting prize for taking part. Communication of winning entries will be givenby Casalgrande Padana to the interested partiesby means of a registered letter. The prizes will be assigned personally or to aperson specifically appointed, during a galaceremony to which all participants in thecompetition will be invited. Objet du concoursLe Grand Prix Casalgrande Padana est unconcours international d’architecture quisélectionne et récompense les professionnels qui,dans leur œuvre, ont su utiliser et mettre envaleur au mieux les propriétés techniques et lespossibilités expressives des éléments en grèscérame Granitogres, Marmogres, Pietre Native etPadana Piscine.

Critères requis pour participerPeuvent participer au concours tous les projeteurs(architectes, ingénieurs, designers, décorateursd’intérieurs, studios techniques privés ou publics,studios professionnels d’architecture et dedécoration d’intérieur, etc.), qui ont réalisé desœuvres pour lesquelles ils ont utilisé lesmatériaux des lignes Granitogres, Marmogres,Pietre Native et Padana Piscine pour lesrevêtements des sols et/ou murs de n’importequel genre. Les candidatures peuvent êtreintroduites individuellement par lesprofessionnels ou par les groupes en nommant unresponsable pour chacun de ces derniers.

Œuvres admises au concoursChaque participant peut présenter une ouplusieurs œuvres ; il est chargé d’obtenir leconsentement du maître d’ouvrage et/ou dupropriétaire pour présenter et utiliser l’œuvreainsi que les matériaux correspondants.Peuvent être présentés des projets réalisés aumoyen de Granitogres, Marmogres, Pietre Nativeet Padana Piscine dans n’importe quel secteur dubâtiment public et privé, en intérieur et extérieur,qu’il s’agisse de nouvelles constructions ou derestaurations et rénovations d’anciennesconstructions. A la septième édition du concours,peuvent participer les œuvres réalisées au coursde : 2002-2003-2004-2005-2006.

Jury et critères d’évaluationLes œuvres sont primées par un Juryinternational composé de professionnels deréputation incontestable dans le domaine del’architecture et du design et dirigé par leprésident de Casalgrande Padana. Chaquemembre attribue à chaque œuvre une noteaccompagnée d’un jugement impartial et sansappel. Les critères d’évaluation utilisés pour

élaborer le classement se baseront sur lesaspects de projet, application et mise en valeurdu matériau céramique du point de vue de lacomposition architecturale, de la créativité, de lafonctionnalité, de la mise en œuvre, des finitionset de l’étude des détails. Afin de garantirl’impartialité, tout membre ayant un intérêtdirect à une œuvre déterminée est tenu de ledéclarer et de s’abstenir de donner sonévaluation. La note lui revenant sera, dans cecas, remplacée par la moyenne arithmétique despoints attribués par les autres membres du Jury.Les décisions du Jury seront catégoriques etcontraignantes pour l’attribution desrécompenses.La participation au Grand Prix CasalgrandePadana implique automatiquement l’acceptationdu présent règlement. Pour tout ce qui n’est pasexplicitement prévu, les lois et les coutumesreconnues sur le territoire national serontd’application. Pour tout litige, le tribunalcompétent est celui de Reggio Emilia.

EinschreibungDie Einschreibung zum Grand Prix CasalgrandePadana ist kostenlos. Jury und BewertungskriterienDie Prämierung der Arbeiten obliegt einerinternationalen Jury aus anerkannten Fachleutenaus dem Bereich von Architektur und Design,sowie dem Präsidenten von Casalgrande Padana,der ihr vorsitzt. Jedes Mitglied erteilt jeder Arbeiteine Punktezahl, die Bewertung ist unparteilichund unanfechtbar. Die Bewertungskriterien, die zurAufstellung der Rangordnung dienen, beziehensich auf die Aspekte Planung, Anwendung undAufwertung des keramischen Baumaterials auf derEbene der architektonischen Komposition, der

Kreativität, der Funktionalität, der Ausführung derArbeit, der Sorgfalt und der Studien bei derAusführung der Details. Zur Gewährleistung derUnparteilichkeit ist jedes Jury-Mitglied, das eindirektes Interesse an einer bestimmten Arbeit hat,dazu verpflichtet, dies mitzuteilen und sich derStimme zu enthalten. In diesem Fall wird die imzustehende Punktezahl durch das arithmetischeMittel der von den anderen Mitgliedernvergebenen Punkte ersetzt. Für den Preisverleihsind die Entscheidungen der Jury ausschlaggebendund bindend. Die Teilnahme am Grand PrixCasalgrande Padana schließt automatisch dieAnerkennung der vorliegenden Bestimmungen ein.Für alle hier nicht aufgeführten Vorschriften findendie anerkannten italienischen Gesetze undGewohnheitsrechte Anwendung. Bei evtl.Streitigkeiten ist das Gericht von Reggio-Emiliazuständig.
