Question w/ Percents & Taxes
Jeff and Frank bought two pairs of swimming goggles for $26.50. If the rate of sales tax was 6%, what was the total cost of the goggles?
Procedure for Percents & Taxes
First:set up the problem.
Second:multiply the amount with the percentage.
Third:set up your division problem.
Fourth:divide the amount you get with a hundred.
Fifth: add price with the tax total.
Sixth:write the answer in a complete sentence.

Tommy bought two kaleidoscopes on sale for 20% off. If each kaleidoscope cost $29 before the sale, what did Tommy pay for both on sale?
