Arizona Common Core Standards
Arizona’s Common Core Standards are designed to prepare students with the core academic knowledge and skills they need to succeed in post-secondary education and training. Internationally benchmarked and aligned with college and
workforce expectations. Consistent explanations of what students are expected to
learn kindergarten through grade 12. Rigorous strategic grade-level goals A focus on critical thinking, problem solving and real world
application of skills Working collaboratively across content disciplines, schools,
districts, and states sharing resources and expertise

2015 Seniors must pass AIMS to graduate (retakes given as necessary).PARCC results will be unavailable to incorporate in course grades since the standards setting process will delay the return of test results.
2016 Seniors must pass AIMS to graduate (retakes given as necessary).PARCC results, if available, shall be incorporated into student grades for all courses where the assessments are administered (percentage TBD).
2017 PARCC results shall be incorporated into student grades for all courses where the assessments are administered (percentage TBD).
2018 PARCC results shall be incorporated into student grades for all courses where the assessments are administered (percentage TBD).
2019 PARCC results shall be incorporated into student grades for all courses where the assessments are administered (percentage TBD).
Unanswered Questions
How will PARCC be administered to AZ students in 14-15? On-line? Paper and pencil?
What portions of PARCC will AZ implement? Through Course Assessment End of Course Assessment
When do we get the data back? How does that intersect with our grading
practices?
