CUPCAKES AND PEOPLE NEED:

The right mixture of ingredients in order to form and develop properlyPeople need a specific amount of genes from both parents to become developed humans. The right environment to develop. Cupcakes need an oven set to the right temperature in order to properly form, rise and cook. People need healthy homes and environments in order to grow and mature. The right amount of time in cooking. Cupcakes need time to cook both inside and outside. Otherwise, if too hot, you get a burned cupcake with a raw middle OR if too low, a cooked inside and mushy outside. People can develop emotionally really early and become mature at a young age, at the expense of not having life experiences and happiness. While others may become mature on the outside, but still be immature on the inside.

Cupcakes need to be mixed, monitored and taken out. This is how they are enjoyed and exposed in order to serve their function.

People need to be around healthy and happy environments of people in order to socialize and learn who they are and what function they have in society.

Cupcakes can come in multiple types, colours, flavours, tenderness, denseness, fluffiness and even differ in amounts of sweetness.

People come in diverse ethnicities, mentalities, competences, and personalities.

IF CUPCAKES AND PEOPLE ARE NOT DEVELOPED …

• If the outside is cooked and the inside is not, then the top will sink. It will not have any support. It will cave in on itself.

• If the temperature is too low, then it takes way too long to develop and not evenly or properly.

• If they are not exposed to the right temperature and right environment, they don't grow to their fullest potential.

PROPER DEVELOPMENT

If cupcakes and people are developed properly:

• They grow to full physical maturity.

• They become the best versions of themselves.

• They are wholesome and fulfilled.

• They serve their function in their entirety.

• They bring joy to others.

• They live functional and fulfilling lives/purposes.

LOVE IS THE ICING ON THE

CUPCAKE

ICING =LOVE Love/icing in its truest form:

• Accentuates a cupcake

• Makes the cupcake a better version of itself

• Should not change the integrity and foundation of the cupcake.

• Adds flavour but maintains its own identifiable essence.

• Brings extra oomph to the mix but doesn’t steal the show.

• Works in partnership to aid in flavour, consistency and aesthetics.

WITHOUT PROPER DEVELOPMENT

The cupcake will collapse in the middle because it is not developed enough to support the icing.Without proper development of a person, love, in its truest form cannot be supported. It would be weighed down and not properly experienced.It would be a stressful experience, rather than a happy or potentially fulfilling experience. If a person receives the icing without being prepared, “cooked enough” for it, then it will ultimately destroy the person. The love itself, will not provide it’s benefits. It will be stunted and choked rather than be able to achieve its fullest potential to create happiness, joy and a truly fulfilled life.

INFATUATION VS. REAL LOVE

Infatuation Love

“Pizza Love” • It looks good, it smells good, it tastes good, and it might seem like its filling, but its very bad for you.

• Also called puppy love. It is the love of the idea, the aesthetic. It is superficial, based on appearance and the idea of having something or someone.

True Love • Can’t be planned. • Can’t be chosen. • Can’t be changed. • Should improve your person. • Should make you a better

version of yourself. • Should be egalitarian. • Should help you have a fulfilled

life • Happens organically.

COMPARING FATIMA AND THE MERCHANT GIRL

The Merchant Girl represents infatuation “pizza love.”• Santiago does not really know her. He has seen her once. • He is willing to change who he is in order to become something appealing to

her. He is also willing to settle down in a place that is not his own home, AND to not be a shepherd anymore, if it meant marrying the merchant girl.

• He pretends to have lived an interesting life by telling her stories from the books he reads.

• They do not love each other; they liked speaking with each other.• Neither of them have experience with love or with the other gender in this

capacity. How can they possibly be in love? • Most importantly, he is underdeveloped; he is doubtful of her interest. He is not

confident in his ability to impress her. He does not know her at all and he knows that.

• It is clear then that Santiago is not developed: emotionally, psychologically or spiritually. He is a cooked cupcake on the outside. He is not yet ready for the heaviness of icing.

FATIMA <3 • Fatima represents true and faithful love.• It is instinctual for the both of them. • She seeks for him to fulfil his Personal Legend.• She does not want him to change for her. • She is willing to wait for him. • She knows what is at stake for him. • She recognizes the importance of his obstacles and path. • She knows that he needs to find his treasure in order to become the best version of himself so that they can be together.
