FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE April 1, 2015 UHER, DUMOULIN LEAD PENGUINS PAST WOLF PACK, 4-3 Forward’s two goals, defenseman’s three assists down Hartford Wilkes-Barre, Pa. – Dominik Uher scored twice, Brian Dumoulin added three assists, and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins defeated the Hartford Wolf Pack, 4-3, Wednesday night at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza. Both Uher and Dumoulin tied career-highs with their performances for the Penguins, who created some separation from Hartford in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Trailing, 1-0, after the first intermission, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton got on the board at 8:20 of the second period when Dumoulin wristed a shot from the left point that Jayson Megna tipped in for his team-leading 21 st goal of the season. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton took its first lead of the game just over five minutes later on a 5-on-3 power play, as Tom Kostopoulos tipped in Scott Wilson’s shot past the blocker of Hartford netminder Mackenzie Skapski at 13:28 to give the Penguins the advantage heading into the second intermission. The Penguins only needed 10 seconds in the third period to extend their lead to 3-1, as Uher fired home a Tom Kuhnhackl pass from the slot over the glove of Skapski for his first of the night. Uher struck again at 11:44 of the third, this time tipping in a Dumoulin shot from the point to push the margin to three goals. Hartford opened the scoring at 4:00 of the first period, striking on the game’s first shot when Oscar Lindberg was left alone in front of the net and fired home a pass from Joey Crabb for a 1-0 lead.

Wilkes-Barre, Pa. – Dominik Uher scored twice, Brian Dumoulin added three assists, and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins defeated the Hartford Wolf Pack, 4-3, Wednesday night at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza. Chris Bourque pulled the Wolf Pack closer at 15:11 of the third period, putting home a rebound past Penguins goaltender Jeff Zatkoff. Mat Bodie scored at 19:35 with Skapski pulled to make the score 4-3, but the Wolf Pack could not put another past Zatkoff, who stopped 37-of-40 shots.

The Penguins were held without a shot for the first 13:16 of the contest, and were outshot by the Wolf Pack, 13-4, in the opening period. The Penguins continue their three-game homestand as they battle the Worcester Sharks Friday night at Mohegan Sun Arena.
