This is a comprehensive designed to provide students with career, community, and family connections, consumer services, education and early childhood, facilities management and maintenance, family and community services, food production and services, food science, dietetics, and nutrition, hospitality, tourism, and recreation, interpersonal relationships, interiors and furnishings, and textiles. FOODS & NUTRITION 2 1 UNIT

Prerequisite: Foods and Nutrition 1, GRADES 9-12

This course allows students to study the principles of nutrition for individual and family health, fitness, and wellness. Students will gain knowledge and experiences in nutrition, food safety and sanitation, kitchen work centers, meal planning , preparation techniques, table service and etiquette, and nutrition-related careers.
