Wipro's entry into the ADS domain though recent, has been significant due to its relation with leading aircraft manufacturers and Tier1 suppliers of the world. The ADS group specializes in providing services in embedded software, mechanical engineering, testing, technical publications, board & RF design etc. The group also has 2 dedicated Centers of Excellence (COEs) for performing research on futuristic Network Centric Operations & applications. Our processes are compliant to DO 178B & DO 254 Level A standards and are also AS9100 compliant & ITAR registered.

Wipro offers services in various areas like cabin system (Cabin HMI framework, Data Loading Protocol – ARINC 615A, avionics data bus protocol stack, built-in test diagnostics framework), in-flight entertainment (content upload and distribution, Android based framework for handheld passenger control devices, wireless framework), flight management system, cockpit display system etc.

Refers to satellite communication that is used for the purposes of telecommunications.

Examples of Satellite Communication: GSM coverage inside aircrafts using satellite backhaul, implementation of signal processing layer of modem etc.

Current Engineering Expertise: Extensive telecom expertise in wireless, broadband, optical, routing & switching, security, voice technology and network management.

ATE, Simulation & Test toolsATE – This refers to Automated Test Equipment is any automated device that is used to quickly test printed circuit boards, integrated circuits or any other related components or modules.

Simulation – This relates to the imitation of something real or some process and is aimed at providing a realistic scenario with key details that can be used for training of personnel or even during war scenarios.

Test tools are implements used for testing software and hardware components.

Current Engineering Expertise – User interface and embedded software aspects of a flight simulator stack, that covers cockpit displays, visual system, data acquisition station etc.

In testing tools, our expertise ranges from protocol conformance on tools like K1297, Net Hawk etc, load testing, functional testing, process automation with tools like Clear Case & Clear Quest and white box testing. Rational, Mercury & Telelogic are 3 exclusive test labs with whom we have an alliance.

Satellite NavigationSatellite Navigation refers to a system that provides autonomous geo spatial positioning with global coverage.

Current Engineering Expertise:

GPS – Expertise in GPS technologies, correlator software and experience in RF modulators with the ability to integrate with inertial sensors and test the same.

LBS – Expertise in wireless networks, development of middleware, OSS integration, and device development & testing. Engineers are also trained on GIS tools like MapInfo, MapPoint, and ESRI.
