    1. Executive Summary

    The PEASCE Development Organization is a non-profitable,non-governmental, non-religious and non-political Organization;

    having head office at House No. 27-C/3 Block-C SatelliteRawalpindi-Pakistan and operates through Regional OperationsOffice at House No: 33, Khattak House Kaghan Colony

    Abbottabad.

    PEASCE is working since 2005 but get registered in 2009;under The Society Registration Act XXI of1860 bearing Reg.No. RSJC/DISTT RWP/73, 2008-09. It operates the financesthorough its official banker; Allied Bank Abbottabad.

    The PEASCE contributes to participatory development processesat different levels through advocacy and network developmentwhile utilizing potentials of the devolved system to promotepositive changes and at the same time creating avenues forregional and global partnerships for collective wellbeing.(PEASCE) Mansehra caters to the capacity building needs of thelocal community, CBOs, and other development actors byarranging variety of training program.

    PEASCE Development Organization is engaged in different levelsadvocacy campaigns and intends to expand its advocacy programand have intensive lobbying on the themes of human rights,education, Infrastructure development, Mobilization, Gender &Women empowerment, addressing the communitys legal issues,Different awareness programs regarding basic concerning humanissues, Disaster preparedness & management, Politicaleducation, Child Labour, Poverty Alleviation, environment,preventive and curative health, and wise resource management

    for setting prosperous and tolerant social norms.

    PEASCE establishes coordination mechanisms with governmentline agencies to institutionalize citizens participation for ensuringgood governance practices in transitional tribal environment.

    (PEASCE) Mansehra has set up close links with civil societyorganizations of the adjoining districts; Abbottabad, Harripur, Dir,Buner, Shangla, Kohistan and Malakand, Balakot, Muzaferabad,Batagram and information & experiences are shared on regular

    basis.A dedicated team of teachers, students, advocates, journalistsand likeminded people from all walks of life started to sittogether, share and express their apprehensions over the socialinjustices and discrimination due to the social unevenness,gender, religion, sect, color, dialect, and race. Increasing dangersto the Mother earth because of polluted water and environmentalpollution, lack of education and awareness about various socialissues especially primary health care, child rights, women and

    gender development.

    This PEASCE team of devoted youth started to meet and ponderupon these social issues frequently and tried to find solutions ofthese social problems on the grass root level. This PEASCEcommitted youth gradually started to transform into a non-profit,non-governmental, non-religious and non-political but yet non-registered charitable organization and started to meet at regularintervals. These social issues included almost from all walks oflife. But mainly they included the social problems which are of

    great pain and suffering for laymen in their every day lives.

    5. Working/Targeted Area

    Pakistan is a developing country and a huge majority of thePakistani population lives in villages. Residents of these villages,towns are illiterate and they depend entirely on crop growing forthe bread and butter of their families. We at PEASCE want tobwaten the sphere of opportunities of all under privileged.

    6. Structure of The PEASCE Development Organization

    PEASCE Development Organization is supervised and run bya Governing body. Details of the Governing body are following:

    11. Activities

    1. Voluntarily a few of our management took place in theactivities of the earthquake 2005. They side by side workedwith MSF France voluntarily as a project coordinator with agroup of volunteers who got together for four good monthsand performed duties of camp management. A tent villagewas erected for the purpose of recovery of the invalids, aswell as they were entrusted with the monitoring andmanagement of the tent village.

    2. Literacy computer labs were established at Balakot, GarhiHabibullah, Talhatta, Atter Sheesha and Phurla for computerliteracy in collaboration with the local government.

    3. Individual funding and funding from Aryians Internationalhelped in providing relief items at the time of the IDPssituation at Mardan, Mansehra and Abbottabad.

    4. Ujala School Academy, a project to literate the underprivileged students of Khail, District Mansehra.

    5. Perhenna Cottages, a project for developing tourism inKaghan & under the supvision of the Oriakhels a NationalConstruction Company.

    6. A voluntarily made road of approx 10 K.M in Darya Doga ofDistrict Haripur.

    7. A voluntarily made cricket ground in District Haripur. Theproject was overseen by experts of The Oriakhels.
