SUMMARY: ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGEON
Oral and maxillofacial surgeon with a special interest in Maxillofacial Traumatology and
reconstruction. Experience of over 30 months as a Consultant in a multispecialty hospital
managing various cases of maxillofacial trauma. Recently passed my MFD(RCSI) exam at my
first attempt. Hailed and criticized alike for the non-compromising approach towards providing
the best possible treatment for the patient. Noted for sticking to the basic treatment principles and
protocols. Trained by Prof. Dr. C. Ravindran at Sri Ramachandra Medical center, a high volume
tertiary care trauma center in managing facial trauma. Visiting consultant in four dental clinics
performing minor oral surgical procedures. Being trained at one of the best maxillofacial trauma
care centers in India, the number of cases I get to operate in my town is less hence I am planning
on moving to a high volume center.
KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Successfully restored the normal form and function in two cases of severe panfacial
trauma.
Successfully treated a fractured mandibular condyle.
Successfully treated a case of palatal fracture with open reduction and internal fixation.
Successfully treated a case of parotid sialolith.
Successfully treated a case of submandibular sialolith
Successful conservative management of a case of bilateral mandibular condyle fracture.
Published 3 articles in reputed journals, 2 of them being international journals.
