2018 WCS Fall Festival King and Queen Candidates
Congratulations to Emma Famer and Isaac Mayer, who were chosen by their peers to represent Westside Catholic School at the 2018 West Side Nut Club Fall Festival’s King and Queen contest!
WCS Student Council Service Project
WCS Student Council members held their annual service project fundraiser, “Off the Street” benefitting Aurora Evansville, to help bring an end to homelessness in our community. Each class collected funds, while the top three classes were able to embarrass a teacher of their choice with either silly string, duct tape to a wall, or a silly makeover! We are excited to share that our bobcats collectively raised over $1400.00 for this worthy cause.
Good Luck Ethan! Good luck to seventh grader Ethan Stolz, who will advance to the National Geographic Bee in Indianapolis next month! Ethan was recognized at an assembly this week.
PTO Flower Fundraiser PTO Flower Fundraiser forms were sent out earlier this week. Lori Pierre needs volunteers on Thursday, April
19 starting at 12:00 (noon) to help sort the flower orders. Please call her at 812-204-3445 if you are able to help.

Wildcat Basketball Academy Registration Form Summer 2018
The Wildcat Basketball Academy is dedicated to helping Mater Dei High School boys feeder students in the incoming 2nd through 9th grades improve upon their basketball skills in a small group setting. Instruction is provided by members of the Mater Dei High School coaching staff with an emphasis on ball handling and shooting. Because of the small group setting this instruction is more in depth and tailored to a player’s
individual needs then our summer basketball camps. The Wildcat Basketball Academy will meet during May, June, and July at Mater Dei High School. Participants will be placed into groups
based on age. The academy consists of eight one-hour sessions. Participants will meet one day per week for one hour. Dates and times for these sessions will be determined after the registration deadline has passed. Cost for the academy is $200. Parents may pay in full with their
registration or pay after the academy has been completed. We do ask that those who sign up have the intention of participating in as many sessions as possible. However, you will not be charged if you must miss a session for vacation or emergencies.
The Wildcat Basketball Academy does have limited availability. We will take the first 40 feeder students to register. The registration deadline will be Monday, May 7th. Once 40 students register or the registration deadline passes we will group students accordingly and send out the finalized dates and times for all eight sessions. A tentative 2018 schedule is located on back. Be advised, this schedule is subject to change.
