What Made The Regions Unique?
New England did a lot of Fishing especially whaling.
The Middle Colonies had farms and they did do a lot of shipping.
The Southern Colonies did a whole lot of farming.
Shelter/Houses
If you were poor you would live in a dugout or whatever you could get. If you were middle class you would live in a 1 or 2 room house and sometimes an attic. If you were rich and you lived in the south you would have a large plantation, and slaves.
Tools used in the Thirteen Colonies
People in the thirteen colonies would use tools such as:
Braces
Saws
Hammers
JobsThere were many different jobs in the thirteen colonies such as:
A Blacksmith: Blacksmiths were crafters of hardware for homes and tools for fellow tradesmen.
A Tailor: Tailors cut and created different types of clothing.
A Printer and Binder: The colonial press is a powerful tool.
FoodPeople ate a lot of corn. If you lived by the sea you ate lobsters and clams. If you lived more inland you would eat rabbits, squirrels, bears, deer, fruit and vegetables.
