In conjunction with the Passion series, RiverLife will also be running a Passion Week Seminar with Rev. Joe Purcell. The seminar aims to bring us deeper into 3 areas of the life, work and example of Christ. The details are as follows:

Fri, Mar 25. 9.30am. Worship Centre. The Lord’s Suffering On The CrossA meditation on the sufferings of our Lord on the cross and how the completeness of His work on the cross has given us hope for every situation in life.

Wed, Mar 23. 8.00pm. Worship Centre. The Washing Of FeetA reflection on the humility and servanthood attitude of Christ; and how we should thus live our lives.

Thu, Mar 24. 8.00pm. Worship Centre. The Lord’s SupperA meditation on the elements of the Holy Communion and how it represents the complete work of Christ.

About Rev. Joseph PurcellA former lawyer, Rev. Joe graduated from Rhema USA in 1988. His passion is to train ministers to proclaim the gospel of the

Lord Jesus Christ accurately, exegetically, and consistently with the overarching theme of the Bible’s redemptive message. He and his wife, Mary, served as Director of Rhema Singapore from 2006 to 2014. Since 2011, they have established six other Rhema campuses in Russia, India, and East Malaysia. They continue to serve

as the directors of the three Malaysia campuses.

This typically happens for 40 days leading up to Easter Sunday and is known as Lent. Lent is a season of preparation and repentance during which we anticipate the death (Good Friday) and resurrection (Easter Sunday) of Jesus. It is this very preparation and repentance – aimed at grasping the intense significance of the crucifixion – that gives us a deep and powerful longing for the resurrection, the joy of Easter.
