For its 56th edition, the C’Space event will be held for the 5th time at the foot of the Pyrenees, in the 1st RHP (Hussars Paratroops Regiment) Ger military camp.

A badge will be issued to you on arrival [1]. It must be clearly displayed at all times during C’Space so please don’t lose it. At any moment it can be inspected by the military personnel or the C’Space staff.

Once inside the Camp, please follow the arrows which will lead you to the « Bâtiment des clubs » (Club building).

Entry via the C’Space reception desk [2] is obligatory. Here staff will check your contact information, assign you to a bedroom and give you a bag containing your participant handbook, and other C’Space documents. Finally, a work area will be assigned to you in the Clubs building.

The C’Space reception desk is open from 9 am to 7 pm, please ensure your arrival is during this time slot.

Your vehicle, once unloaded, needs to remain on the car park located at the Ger camp entrance (outside of the site) [14]. Inside the camp you can get around by bike (complying with the traffic regulations) or on foot. It is prohibited to move around the Ger camp after 2 am. During the day, a shuttle service is set up to facilitate access to the launch area (about 3 km away from the base camp): registration is required if you want to use this service.

The places marked [n] in the text can be found on the

Base Camp map on the back cover

of this booklet.

The launcharea

The launch area, located about 3 km from the base camp, is accessible by shuttle, and also with the “club car” on the day of your team’s launch.

Rocket launches take place from Monday afternoon to Friday morning (unless there is severe weather). The flight schedule is based on qualifying order. It is important to note that the last qualified teams may not be able to launch if every other launch window is already taken, especially in the case of bad weather.

Remember to wear a hat and to protect your skin with sunscreen.

BEWARE

In the launch area different risk zones are identified. For each area, respect the safety instructions given by the operational teams.

Lighters, or other objects that generate fire or heat, as well as mobile phones (even turned off) must be left in the club tent in a box provided for this purpose before entering the pyrotechnic zone.

The recovery of rockets will take place after the last launch window (depending on time and weather), with at least one person from the operations team.
