Lesson 1

Waiting for the Bus

1. Plan for inclement weather

2. Arrive 5 minutes early

3. Remember the safety zone

4. Stand in line and board safely

5. Keep hands, feet and other object to yourself.

Lesson 2

Entering the Bus

1. Follow driver’s directions

2. Walk not run.

3. Find your assigned seat and always remain seated

4. Keep hands feet and objects out of the isle.

Lesson 3 Riding the Bus

1. Use appropriate language

2. Speak at a level one

3. Remain in your seat at all times until the bus comes to a complete stop.

4. Ask permission to open the window. Nothing goes out the window (hands, objects, etc).

5. Keep hands, feet, and other objects to yourself.

6. Report any inappropriate behavior.

7. Dome light on means quiet

8. NO Eating, drinking of any kind on the bus.

Lesson 4

Exiting the Bus

1. Stay in your seat until the bus comes to a complete stop

2. Take all belongings with you.

3. Exit front to back.

4. Move to your place of safety on the sidewalk. In the afternoon you must remain in your place of safety until the bus departs.

5. Never cross behind the bus or in the blind spots. Always cross the street at the front of the bus.

B.U.S. Bucks - Students caught following S.T.O.P procedures and being model students on the school bus will earn B.U.S. bucks that they can submit to their school building for a reward.
