DEFIBRILLATOR PRESENTED TO PARISH
Mrs Philomena O'Hagan, Chairperson
of Craigavon Cardiac Care, presented
a defibrillator to the Parish Pastoral
Centre. Defibrillators can be life sav-
ing and are very easy to use. They can
restart a heart in cardiac arrest. We are
very grateful to accept this kind dona-
tion from the association.

Wednesday 14th September guided tours of the two cathedrals in Armagh, starting at 11.00 in St
Patrick's Catholic Cathedral, followed by lunch before the visit to Church of Ireland Cathedral at
2pm - further details in Parish Bulletin.
Armchair exercises with Sayon Mulligan will return by popular request with eight weekly sessions
in October/November.
There will be two meetings in December:
Decorating your Christmas Cake with Kathleen McConville,
Workshop on Christmas Floral Decorations with Roberta Orr.
Our Annual parish Outing took place on Saturday 18th June .
This year we decided to head to the North Coast and the beautiful Glens of Antrim. We were
blessed with a lovely warm sunny day and our first stop was the Londonderry Arms Hotel in
Carnlough for morning coffee where we were given a very warm welcome by the owner and his
staff. This very old hotel was once owned by Sir Winston Churchill's father and Sir Winston
stayed there many times. Leaving Carnlough we travelled along the coast passing some wonderful
scenery on our way to Cushendall and Cushendun where we stopped off for lunch and sightsee-
ing. Cushendun is a picture postcard village and we were able to explore the little harbour and
beach before sampling some of the lovely food in their very authentic bar/restaurants.
In the afternoon we made our way back inland to visit one of the National Trusts Open Gardens at
Glenwherry Ballymena. This 5acre privately owned garden was featured on BBC's greatest gar-
dens with Helen Dillon and Diarmuid Gavin in 2015. We were able to enjoy the vast array of
plants and trees which surrounded a large pond and take a leisurely stroll along the Glenwherry
river which borders the gardens.
Our evening meal was in the Tullyglass Hotel in Ballymena where we all enjoyed a 6 course buf-
fet menu, wonderful food and even better value. To be recommended for group outings. All in all
another successful outing and my thanks to Sheila and the KEY group for their support to Rae-
mon for his help and of course to all who continue to support our parish Outing every year.
