That South Atlanta Educational Complex is the home of 3 schoolsSchool of Law and Social Justice, Computer Animation and Design, and Heath and Medical Science! Here at South Atlanta School of Law and Social Justice where we are empowering the next generation of leaders for positive change. The School of Law and Social Justice is one of three small schools at the South Atlanta High Educational Complex. In serving approximately 260 students in grades 9 through 12, we provide a complete college preparatory curriculum and personalized experience to our students. The themes of Law and Social Justice provide a unique vehicle for developing important critical thinking skills and social awareness necessary for students to be successful in the 21st Century. As part of the curriculum, students take unique courses such as Forensic Science, Current Issues, Street Law, Sociology and Criminology. These courses are taught in our recently renovated building which includes a 115-person courtroom, law library, science and computer labs. In addition to work done inside the classroom we seek to provide student with authentic career and college experiences through partnerships with local corporations, bar associations, colleges, universities and law firms such as Oglethorpe University, Georgia State University, Turner Broadcasting, Macy's and the Georgia Bar Association.

Here at South Atlanta School of Law and Social Justice where we are empowering the next generation of leaders for positive change. The School of Law and Social Justice is one of three small schools at the South Atlanta High Educational Complex. By leveraging these resources and work of a dynamic faculty we work to ensure that all of our students are prepared for college, the workplace and success after high school.

South Atlanta School of Computer Animation and Design

National studies show that students perform better in smaller, more personalized settings. Each school on the South Atlanta campus is designed to function autonomously. The schools offer students the opportunity to attend a high school that is aligned with their interests and allows for real-world and career connections. Each small school has a principal, a dedicated staff, a unique instructional program, and a maximum capacity of 400 students.

At South Atlanta High School of Computer Animation & Design (CAD), students explore some of the most exciting careers of the 21st century. The school exposes students to a college-preparatory curriculum, complete with Honors and Advanced Placement courses. All courses use rigorous, problem-based, interdisciplinary teaching and learning strategies to develop students' ability to communicate, collaborate and solve 21st century challenges. Recognized for three consecutive years as the high school Arts School of the Year, CAD offers two pathways of study: computer animation and industrial design. The school is equipped with the latest technological resources, allowing students to have hands-on training in Claymation and stop motion film production, computer-aided product design, sound mixing and more. Partnerships with the Cartoon Network, Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta, Communities in Schools Atlanta, and design and production firms help bring learning to life.

The School of Computer Animation and Design is under the direction of Mr. Jarod Scott!

South Atlanta School of Health and Medical Science

The South Atlanta School of Health and Medical Science is committed to the preparation of students for immediate entry into the workforce, higher education, careers in health sciences, biotechnology, and biomedical and scientific research. The curriculum will provide an increased understanding of health and conditions which compromise health while seeking to promote lifelong learning among students and instilling a commitment to serve the communities where they live and work. . In serving approximately 328 students in grades 9 through 12, we provide a complete college preparatory curriculum and personalized experience to our students.

The students at the South Atlanta School of Health and Medical Science will be provided with the best education toward achieving their goals with integrated technology in all classrooms, as well as field experiences that will help mold them into the excellent citizens of our next generation.

The School of Health and Medical Sciences is under the direction of Dr. Patricia Ford!
