Controversial Issues in the ClassroomTownship High School District 214’s primary mission is to enable all students to learn the skills, acquire the knowledge, and develop the behaviors necessary for them to reach their full potential as citizens who can meet the challenges of a changing society. In a democracy that openly confronts acute and pressing political, social, economic, and moral problems, it is likely that such issues will be evident in classrooms. Discussions about these issues provide students with the type of learning experience that will help prepare them to meet the challenges of a global changing society.

Parking Pass InformationDue to the reconfiguration of the front lot, student parking spaces are at a premium. We were able to grant all seniors a parking pass who applied for one. We will have a number of spots in the basin available to Juniors at the end of 1st quarter. Parking passes for Juniors will be distributed using a lottery format. Please note that it’s imperative for students to display parking passes every day. Students who do not display or possess a parking pass will be subject to disciplinary consequences which may include towing of the vehicle.

Policies on Bullying, Hazing, Harassment & Intimidation

Privileges will be withheld due to overdue school fees and obligations including, but are not limited to, such items as: release of official transcripts/records; prom tickets; parking passes; discretionary purchases such as yearbooks; delay of next year’s registration.
