Elle has given the students a free dress day for tomorrow. Please follow all free dress rules. FLOWERS FOR MARY: Students are encouraged to bring flowers and put them in front of the statue of our Lady. RE-REGISTRATION PACKETS: The re-registration packets for next school year are now due. Please return to the office ASAP. FIRST HOLY COMMUNION: Congratulations to the 3 rd grade class on receiving First Holy Communion last Saturday. FIELD DAY, MINIMUM DAY: Friday, May 26th is Field Day. The students will walk to Hutchins Street Square for some fun activities and will be dismissed at approximately 12:30 pm from school. Volunteers are needed for this event. Please see attached memo for more information. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR FIELD DAY: Volunteers are needed for Field Day on Friday May 26th. Start earning SOS hours for the new school year. Please fill out the attached form and return to the school office. NO CAMPUS CARE ON MAY 26TH: We will not be having afternoon Campus Care on Friday, May 26th. Dismissal will be at 12:30 pm. The school office will close at 1:00 pm. please make arrangements to pick up your children at 12:30 pm. POSITIONS 2017/2018: This coming school year, Mrs. Mar will be the full time Vice Principal. Mrs. Torell will fill Mrs. Mar’s position as the 6th grade homeroom teacher. Mrs. Torell has taught at the Middle School level for St. Anne’s prior to teaching 2nd grade. I look forward to her return and experience at this level. We are currently interviewing for full time 2nd and 7th/8th Math positions. I hope to have them filled soon. MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL: Due to safety concerns and the distractions that the spinners have been causing in the classrooms, I ask that you ensure that your child’s spinner stays at home. Thank you for your cooperation. MASS SCHEDULE CHANGE NEXT WEEK: We will be moving our School Mass next week from Wednesday, May 31 st to Tuesday, May 30 th . KINDERGARTEN PROMOTION MASS: The kindergarten students will be honored during our School Mass on Tuesday, May 30th and will do their promotion presentation at end of Mass. 8 TH GRADE GRADUATION: The 8 th grade graduation will be on Tuesday, May 30 th at 7:00 pm in the church. DRESS-UP DAY: The students will be allowed to DRESS UP on Friday, June 2nd. This is not a free dress day; jeans, shorts, and t-shirts are not allowed. Students need to dress nice, as we will be attending our School Mass. LAST DAY OF SCHOOL: The last day of school will be Friday June 2nd Mass will be at 9:15 am followed by award presentations. Dismissal will be at 11:00 am. The school office will close at 12:00 pm. NO CAMPUS CARE FRIDAY, JUNE 2 nd : There will be no Campus Care on Friday, June 2 nd . BINGO SCHEDULE: Please be sure to check the Bingo schedule on Cornerstone for your assigned shift. SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS: Please remember that all parent volunteers must be fingerprinted and cleared through the Diocese of Stockton, need to fill out a volunteer packet, and do an online course at www.shieldthevulnerable.org in order to volunteer in the classroom or go on field trips. Packets are available in the office. MASS CARDS: Please remember to use your Mass Cards and place them in the collection basket when attending Mass on the weekends. Remember that in order to continue in the Catholic Tuition rate, a family needs to attend Mass at least 26 times by May 30th. Anyone in need of more cards can obtain them in the office. STEM EDUCATION CAMP: The Diocese of Stockton Catholic Schools and the University of Notre Dame’s Center for STEM Education are proud to sponsor a science and engineering camp opportunity for students entering 6th, 7th or 8th grade. Date: June 6-16, Cost: $150.00 per student Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, location is Annunciation School, 1110 N Lincoln St., Stockton CA Scholarships are available. Registration information is available in the school office and on the Annunciation School website @ www.annunciation-school.org. Please contact the school office at 209-444-4000 for questions. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: Mark your calendars for June 12 – 16th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm as we embark on an adventure that will light the way to Jesus. This fun-filled camp is for children ages 5-13. The cost is $25.00 per child. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Sr. Isabel or Sr. Azucena at 369-1907. The registration form is attached. STUDENTS NEEDED FOR VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS: 7th and 8th grade students can volunteer as Crew Leaders and Crew Assistants and earn their Confirmation hours for next year. Please see the attached form.

BINGO NEWS: The new fiscal year for Bingo began on May 1st. If you have not signed up for Bingo yet please do so by contacting Amy Martin at [email protected]. The May bingo schedule is posted on Educate (Cornerstone) ATTENTION 6TH GRADE PARENTS: California Law requires all incoming 7th grade students to be immunized against Pertussis 2 (Tdap). All students entering 7th grade in August will need to provide proof of a Tdap booster before starting school. JOG-A-THON: A big Thank You to Mrs. Christina Moreno for chairing the Jog-A-Thon and to all the parent volunteers for their help. The pledge envelopes and money were due today. SUMMER HOURS & OFFICE CLOSURE: The school office will be open during the hours of 9:00 am – 12:00 pm in the month of June. The office will be closed the month of July. Please plan accordingly for your scrip purchases and other school business DATES TO REMEMBER: Registration day, August 3, 2017 First day of school, August 9, 2017 SWEATSHIRT AND SPIRIT T-SHIRT ORDER: We will be collecting orders for sweatshirts and t-shirts for the next school year. Ordering now will ensure pick up at registration day in August. There is a change to the spirit t-shirt, please see the attached form. Order deadline is Friday, June 2nd.

SCHOOL FIELD DAY

May 26, 2017 Dear Parents, The school year is coming to an end. It’s that time again to start getting ready for our all school field day at HUTCHINS STREET SQUARE ON FRIDAY, MAY 26, 2017. We are going to need a lot of helpers. At this time you can start earning S.O.S. hours for the 2017 - 2018 school year. The field day activities start at 9:00 a.m. but we would like helpers to arrive at 7:45 a.m. We should be finished by 12:00 noon. PLEASE PICK UP YOUR CHILDREN AT THE SCHOOL AT 12:30 P.M. The students and helpers will receive free lunch from the Parent Club. It will also be a free dress day, appropriate clothing for the activities. NO SANDALS, OPEN TOED SHOES OR TANK TOPS! Please fill out the bottom portion of this letter and return it to school no later than May 19th so we can plan out all the activities and volunteers.
