10th Annual Jog-a-Thon ursday May 16th, 2013 We are now in full swing planning for our upcom- ing Jog-a-thon. Top Priorities 1. We are asking every Brighton family to bring in 5 - 10 addresses of family & friends that we can mail a letter to, ask- ing them to sponsor your student. We have addresses on file from last year, please e-mail or call us for approval to use them. Deadline is April 5th, but the sooner the better! 2. Sign-up to volunteer. We need volunteers for all stag- es of this event, including our Jog-a-thon fair. If you would like to volunteer with your student’s class jog-a- thon fair table contact your teacher directly. 3. We need families and/or businesses to donate items such as school car wash supplies, prizes and goodies for each booth at our Jog-a-thon fair. Goal: Our goal for the Jog-a-thon is for each student to raise $150.00 for a total target of $25,000. If your student brings in $220 they will win a Jet Boat Ride or Limo Ride! Because we heavily rely on our fund-raisers to help fund our school activities, it is very important that all students and parents participate in this fund-raiser. Jog-a-thon packets will be handed out in April. Reaching your students $150 goal will count towards 3 months of your volunteer duty. Please contact Michelle Tamashiro 541-660-8743. T-Shirt Design Contest We need an image for our jogathon TShirts that depicts our “Run Away with the Circus” theme. Details on how your student can submit their drawing for this contest have been e-mailed and posted on campus. Drawing must be submitted by April 8th. March 2013March Teachers of the MonthCongratulations Mr. Podolski & Mr. Hampton

Mr. P...“It’s been ten years now at Brighton and they’ve been the fastest and best ten years of my life. Thank you for the opportunity to present sci-ence the way it is supposed to be done and in the nurturing and family-type environment that only Brighton can do. I’m honored to be here and look forward to many more years of adventure.”

Mr. Hampton... “This is my first year here at Brighton and it is by far the best experience teaching that I have had in my

career. With the family- style environment and innovative teaching styles that Brighton encourages, I have had the opportunity to represent math in a fun and engaging way. I am honored to be teaching at Brighton and look forward to watching the students I teach grow for many years to come.”
