Parable of the Sower
Supplies Needed For each child you will need the following:
1 Sheet Regular Paper (8.5” x 11”) 5 Sheets of Cardstock Paper (8.5” x 11”) 7 Sunflower Seeds (or other large seed)
Directions Print page 2 one-sided on cardstock paper. During class, retell
the story using these slides. At the end, use page 2 to review the different kinds of soils/hearts.
Print page 3 one-sided on regular paper. Then print pages 4-9 two-sided on cardstock paper.
Put pages 4-9 in order and use a long-arm stapler to staple them together and make a booklet.
Before class, use school glue to glue a sunflower seed on each of the different types of soil (odd pages). On page 9 of the booklet, glue two seeds dropping out of the Bible and one seed inside the heart (see picture below).
Cut out all the pictures on page 3 and put them in a Ziploc bag for each child.
During class, give each child a booklet and a baggie of pictures. Work through the booklet together, gluing on the pictures correctly on the even pages.
