Bran looked down, and felt his insides turn to water. The ground was rushing up at him now. The whole world was spread out below him, a tapestry of white and brown and green. He could see everything so clearly that for a moment he forgot to be afraid. He could see the whole realm, and everyone in it. He saw Winterfell as the eagles see it, the tall towers looking squat and stubby from above, the castle walls just lines in the dirt. He saw Maester Luwin on his balcony, studying the sky through a polished bronze tube and frowning as he made notes in a book. He saw his brother Robb, taller and stronger than he remembered him, practicing swordplay in the yard with real steel in his hand. He saw Hodor, the simple giant from the stables, carrying an anvil to Mikken’s forge, hefting it onto his shoulder as easily as another man might heft a bale of hay. At the heart of the godswood, the great white weirwood brooded over its reflections in the black pool, its leaves rustling in a chill wind. When it felt Bran watching, it lifted its eyes from the still waters and stared back at him knowingly. He looked east, and saw a galley racing across the waters of the Bite. He saw his mother sitting alone in a cabin, looking at a bloodstained knife on a table in front of her, as the rowers pulled at their oars and Sir Rodrik leaned across a rail, shaking and heaving. A storm was gathering ahead of them, a vast darkness roaring lashed by lightning, but somehow they could not see it. He looked south, and saw the great blue-green rush of the Trident. He saw his father pleading with the king, his face etched with grief. He saw Sansa crying herself to sleep at night, and he saw Arya watching in silence and holding her secrets hard in her heart. There were shadows all around them. One shadow was dark as ash, with the terrible face of a hound. Another was armored like the sun, golden and beautiful. Over them both loomed a giant in armor made of stone, but when he opened his visor, there was nothing inside but darkness and thick black blood. Finally he looked north. He saw the Wall shining like blue crystal, and his. Now you know, the crow whispered as it sat on his shoulder. Now you know why you must live. «Why?» Bran said, not understanding, falling, falling. These berries also sustain them throughout the harsh winter. Biophilia marks Björk’s eighth full-length release, and represents her definitive attempt to create an ecosystem around her work. Billed as her «most ambitious and interdisciplinary project yet» and boasting all the usual fixings of a Björk release (dazzling artwork, a Michel Gondry video, vanguard instrumentation, a bizarre list of collaborators), it also comes supported by a corresponding iPad application for each of its 10 tracks, a new website, a series of live shows and «music workshops», and a forthcoming 90-minute film documenting its creation and the long process that results from it.

Wounded Rhymes is an album of stark, scintillating contrasts: between fantasy and reality, between the powerful and the vulnerable, between the brash and the quiet, between the rhythmic and the melodic. Audacious anthems jostle next to heartbreak ballads like «Unrequited Love», with its simple guitar and shoo-wop backing vocals. The song brazenly grabs your attention, alongside such forlorn songs, it becomes a desperate statement, disarmingly intimate in its role-playing implications but also eager to ensure a lover’s devotion.

La poésie inquiète de Björk se niche dans l’infiniment petit – le microscopique – et dans l’infiniment grand – le cosmos,

donc. Moi, je me suis fié à son imagination fertile de créatrice 2.0, pour percevoir

son ressenti musical, son exploration de la musique des atomes, sa partition

céleste, ce western des étoiles. La chanteuse qui a fait créer des instruments sur mesure afin de ne pas être tributaire de la musique académique, décline en

applications ludiques et didactiques ses dix chansons pour éduquer les (grands)

enfants et les aider à les re-créer. Le jeu se réinvente à chaque chanson.

La salle commençait à se réchauffer, l’attente aux stands de bières et hot dogs s’allongeait, juste à temps pour accueillir Lykke Li. La scène de transformait en théâtre avec des rideaux noirs suspendus, avant l’apparition de la chanteuse dans une fumée grise. Tout de noir vêtu, le groupe accompagnant la jeune femme a proposé un show hypnotique, avec une Lykke Li en transe, agitant les bras et dansant à la manière d’un chamane. La jeune femme tentait de détendre un public encore timide avant d’interpréter une reprise épurée et toute en harmonies d’Unchained Melody. Une performance plaisante, faisant l’unanimité auprès du public. C’est certain, nous reviendrons voir cette jeune suédoise tout droit débarquée de Stockholm en concert pour nous ravir le temps d’une soirée en sa compagnie.

It’s best when I wake up at 9.30, before my boyfriend, so that I can take a walk with my dog before he wakes up. Then I make us break-fast which we eat really slowly while reading the newspaper or watching a Tv-show that we missed out on during the week.

In the fall of 2010, FAV opened a brand new concept store in the heart of Stockholm, Sweden.Our aim was, and still is, to give this beautiful city the store it deserved. Flying A Vintage was born. With a fun mix of young designers and handpicked vintage, great music and dedicated service we hope to offer a pleasant break from the fast fashion craze of the big chains. STOCKHOlM DeSign laBPPM : What are your main areas of expertise ?SDL : Stockholm Design Lab has been working on the entire brand corporate identities of companies and institutions for ten years. Airlines, department stores, museums... However, this big-picture view has not stopped us from working on the expression of isolated instances such as torch batteries, wet-wipes and TV title sequences.

PPM : Do you have a favorite discipline ?We don’t differentiate between design, architecture, interiors, product development, digital applications and services, advertisements, film and other forms of communication. The perception of a brand is dependent on its slightest components.

PPM : Is your work Swedish-only ?Stockholm is our geographic lynchpin, but we work internationally. Nevertheless, our Scandinavian origins help to create relevant, functional solutions that reflect and influence the society.

PPM : What is your creative guideline ? Design is assumed to be our starting-point, but in Scandinavia, we are alone in defying all attempts

PPM : Quelles sont vos spécialités ?SDL : Stockholm Design Lab travaille sur des identités de compagnies corporate et d’institutions depuis 10 ans. Compagnies aériennes, grands magasins, musées... Cependant, nos ambitions ne nous ont pas empêchés de travailler sur des projets complètement différents comme des designs de piles, de lingettes nettoyantes ou de génériques télé.

PPM : Quelle est votre discipline préférée ?On ne fait aucune différence entre le design, l’architecture, le design d’intérieur, le développement produit, la communication digitale, la publicité, le film et tout autre formes de communication. La perception d’une marque réside dans les moindres détails.

PPM : Votre travail est-il réservé à la Suède ?Stockholm est notre QG, mais nous travaillons à l’international. Néanmoins, nos origines scandinaves nous aident à concevoir des solutions adaptées et fonctionnelles qui influent sur notre société.

PPM : Avez-vous un «mot d’ordre» créatif ?Le design fait partie de notre ADN créatif, mais en Scandinavie, nous sommes les seuls à défier toutes
