The Baisinger Lwen brewery is at home here in this idylliccorner of Swabia. It is a real institution since the brewery has

been in the hands of the Teufel family for eight generations.

Brewing has been going on at the same place since 1775.

Yearly beer production of the brewery is some 30,000 hl, with

non-alcoholic beverages clearly above 40,000 hl.

But those wanting to be successful on the highly competitive

regional market cannot afford to just rest on their brewery

tradition. Since 1986, today's owners of Mr. Paul Teufel as

Brewmaster and Mr. Edmund Teufel as the financial and

marketing Head have been concentrating on the management

and continued development of the Baisinger brand. Helping

very much in this is the right brewing technology. >

The Swabian village of Baisingen lies in the south-west of

Germany as part of Rottenburg am Neckar. Baisingen is also

the most westerly point of the District of Tbingen and is

some 30 km away from both Tbingen and Freudenstadt.

Manpower used to be in demand

Manual work was needed for barrel pitching on the brewery yard.
