The call times for Monday are as follows: 5:45: JV Choirs and Men’s Choir in PAC 6:30: ALL called in choir room 6:45: Una Voce with guest pianist in choir room Students should arrive before their call time wear- ing their formal concert uniforms, which should be clean and ironed in ad- vance. The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the PCN Per- forming Arts Center. It will last approximately one hour. Admission is free and open to the public. The PCN concert choirs are all working hard toward the first formal concert of the year. “Music of the World” will be a celebration of music from around the globe. Music will be sung from various countries such as Cuba, Sweden, Brazil, Eng- land, and China. Each concert choir will perform. Our Jazz Choir and COCDA auditioners will also be featured. The evening will conclude with a mass choir performance of “O Sifuni Mungu,” a song with African influences and text. The following checklist has been sent home with stu- dents: 2019 FALL CON- CERT CHECKLIST Group pictures for the 2019-2020 school year will be taken after school on Monday, October 14th. Photos will begin directly after school in the PAC and finish be- fore the evening concert. Students should be ready in the PAC in full performance uniform at their assigned time(s) as fol- lows: 3:30: Varsity Show Choir 3:45: Showstoppers 4:00: Jazz Choir 4:30: Varsity Women & Una Voce 5:00: Men’s Choir 5:15: JV Choirs Students may only enter and exit the building through the PAC lobby doors on the west side of the building. They will not be allowed in any other part of the school building during pictures. Prints of group and individual photos may be ordered using the attached order form found here. An individual photo will only be taken if an order form is present- ed directly to the photographer with payment. The Putnam City North High School Choir in Oklahoma City
has enjoyed a long tradition of excellence. The program con-
sistently achieves high marks at OSSAA State Choral Contest,
winning the Accent and Sweepstakes awards most recently in
May of 2019. Putnam City North is regularly represented in
the OkCDA and OkMEA all-state honor choirs and has many
students qualify for OSSAA State Solo & Ensemble Contest
each year.
There are five concert choirs: Una Voce, Varsity Women’s
Choir, JV Men’s Choir, 2nd Period JV Women’s Choir, and 5th
Period JV Women’s Choir. PCN also boasts award-winning
Jazz and Show Choirs and maintains Showstoppers, a JV show
choir for underclassmen. In the PCN choir program, there is
always a place for every student!
