The BoardwalkKamaal, his sister Angela,
and their parents Dr. and Mrs.Kyrala were walking. Theywere walking along theBoardwalk.
The Boardwalk is a woodensidewalk next to the AtlanticOcean in Atlantic City. TheKyralas felt a soft breeze fromthe ocean.
They heard a voice frombehind them say, "Hi, Angelaand Kamaal! Hello, Dr. andMrs. Kyrala!"
The Kyrala family turnedaround. There was their friendSteve!

Steve was with his parents,Mr. and Mrs. Choctaw. Theywere riding in one of theBoardwalk's rolling chairs.
A tall woman was pushingtheir chair. She smiled atthem. The woman had on awonderful rainbow-coloredhat.
"What a lovely surprisemeeting you here," said Mrs.Choctaw.

The tall woman stoppedpushing the chair. Mrs. andMr. Choctaw stepped out ofthe rolling chair.
"Angela and Kamaal,would you like to ride withSteve?" asked Mr. Choctaw."Mrs. Choctaw and I will walkwith your mother and father."
So Kamaal and Angelahopped into the rolling chairnext to Steve. The pals rodein the rolling chair. They toldsilly jokes all along theBoardwalk.Draw a picture of the tall woman withthe rainbow-colored hat or write astory about her.

The EaglesThe huge nest was in a tall
tree. It was an eagle's nest inBombay Hook Refuge.
Mama and Papa Eaglehad beautiful brown feathers.Their head and tail featherswere white. When the sunshone on their white-featheredheads they looked bald.
Papa and Mama hadwoven large branchestogether to make the nest.Then they softened it withleaves and moss. Twoyellowed eggs were in thenest.
Inside one shell was Annie,a baby eagle, called aneaglet. She had a little tooth

at the end of her beak. Itwas shaped like a knob.Annie used this tooth to tap onand crack her egg. Finallyshe cracked the shell andwiggled out.
Annie was very small. Hereyes were still closed. MamaEagle cuddled her. SoonAnnie's brother, Dover, wasfree of his shell too.
Both eaglets huddled nextto Mama. Papa was keptvery busy feeding the twoeaglets fish and snakes.

The doors to the WhiteHouse are open.
A banner over the doorsings, "Welcome, Children -Today's Joy and Tomorrow'sHope."
The guests are childrenfrom the earth's sevencontinents and from many ofits islands. George and hisgrandparents, Ms. Presidentand the First Gentlemanwelcome their guests.
The party begins!

The eaglets grew quickly.The knob tooth fell off fromtheir beaks. Their soft downchanged to beautiful feathers.Annie and Dover hoppedaround and flapped theirwings.
Then one day the eaglets'wings were as strong as theirdesire to fly. Annie and Doversprang into the air. Theirwings swept them high intothe blue sky. The youngeagles felt . . .What do you think the young eaglesfelt? Write a story about it.

Angela, and his nephewKamaal were visiting AndrewsAir Force Base. CaptainSammy was a pilot and Dr.Kyrala's brother.
They were looking at thehuge, shining airplane named"Air Force One." The bigaircraft sat on the airfield. Theplane was poised like aneagle ready to soar.
"Gosh, Uncle Sammy! ThePresident of the United States'airplane sure is big!" saidKamaal.
"Yes, it is," said CaptainSammy.
"Where is your puppy?"asked the President.
"Bubba is outside playing inthe Rose Garden, Grandma.After I eat, I'm going out too,"said George.
"Well, have fun. But don'tforget our party this afternoon,"said Ms. President.
"Grandma, I wouldn't forgetour party!" laughed George."A party for kids! What didyou say about us?"

"The President must takecare of important business onAir Force One," said Angela.
"The President must have alot of fun on it too," saidKamaal.
"The President does takecare of a lot of business onthe airplane. And yes, thePresident can relax on it too,"said Captain Sammy.
The White HouseIt was morning at the White
House. Ms. President and herhusband, the First Gentleman,were having breakfast in acozy, sunny room.
"Good morning, Grandma.Good morning, Grandpa," saida little boy skipping into theroom. "Listen! Don't you lovethe birds' pretty songs?"
"Good morning,sweetheart," said the Presidentof the United States. Shekissed her grandson George'scurly head. "Yes, the birds'songs are lovely."
"Good morning, George,"said his grandfather, the FirstGentleman, giving him a hug."Sit down here and have somebreakfast."l 3 l 0
"I'd like to build anairplane," said Kamaal. "OnlyI'd make it a lot bigger andbetter."
"How would you design anaircraft, Kamaal?" askedCaptain Sammy. "What wouldit look like? What would youput in it?" Maryland
