Ms. Birk will discuss programs, plans, and policies while sharing experiences and stories that inspired her success. Each city tour will include meetings with key leaders to examine state, local, and regional policies that affect non-motorized transportation initiatives and facilities. Community leaders will have the opportunity to work directly with the nation’s leading expert on bicycle planning and learn lessons and best practices. These events will offer education on creating bike-friendly communities and promote walking and cycling programs throughout the state. Each event will also include a book signing from Ms. Birk’s new groundbreaking book, Joyride: Pedaling Toward a Healthier Planet; an engaging public presentation and forum; and an opportunity to get out and bike. thank you to all of our current sponsors
