CHARLES G. KOCHCHAIRMAN ANDCHI EF EXECUTI VE OFFI CER September 24, 2010

"If not us, who? If not now, when?"T hat question was pos ed by a member of ou r network of business and philanthropic leaders, who are dedicated to defending our free society. We cannot rely on politicians to do so, so it is upto u s to combat what is now the greatest assault on American freedom and prosperity in ourlifetimes.Twice a year our network meets to review strategies for combating the multitude of publicpolicies that threaten to des troy America as we know it. T hese meetings have been critical inimproving and expanding our efforts.O ur next meeting will be held January 30-31, 2011, at the R ancho Las Palmas Resort inR ancho Mirage, California. You would be a valuable addition to our gathering, and we hope youcan join us .In Palm S prings, we will ass emble an exceptional group of leaders.along with a strong line-upof speakers. T ogether, we will develop strategies to cou nter the most severe threats facing our freesociety and ou tline a vision of bow we can foster a renewal of Americanfreeenterprise and prosperity. At ou r most recent meeting in As pen, our group heard plans to activate citizens against thethreat of government over-spending and to change the balance of power in Congress this N ovember. In response, participants committed to an unprecedented level of support. T he important workbeing done with these initiatives continu es. H owever, even if these efforts su cceed, other seriousthreats demand action.E veryone benefits from the prosperity that emerges from free s ocieties. Bu t that prosperityis under attack by the current Administration and many of our elected officials. T heir policiesthreaten to erode our economic freedom and transfer vast sums of power to the state. We must stop- and reverse - this internal assault on our founding principles.

F ighting back with incremental changes will only lead to a slower rate of decline. We mustdedicate ou rselves to making major advances in the direction of economic freedom. O ur goal for thesemeetings must be to advance ideas that strengthen that freedom, beat back the u nrelenting attacksand hold elected leaders accountable.

T o give you a better idea of the nature of this event, I have enclosed the program from ourAs pen m eeting. While w e will have great speakers and a beautiful setting, our u ltimate goal is not"fun in the su n." T his is a gathering of doers who are willing to engage in the hard work necessaryto advance our s hared principles. S u ccess in this endeavor will require all the help we can mu ster.

You r active participation w ou ld increase ou r probability of su ccess du ring this pivotal timein ou r nation's history. We hope to see you in Palm S prings, January 30-31.Sincerely,
