“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” – Psalm 107:1
In the book One Thousand Gifts, author Ann Voskamp challenges readers to practice the habit of thankfulness by taking “The Joy Dare” and recording 3 “gifts” each day for a year. The goal of Voskamp’s challenge is for participants to begin to see gifts all around them and in the most unlikely of places. Gifts such as a few quiet moments in traffic, no traffic, gifts in light, gifts learned, gifts of beginnings, gifts in childhood, gifts from today’s work, gifts found in Christ. As we reflect on the many blessings in our lives, what do we find that we are thankful for? May we see and know the thousand gifts surrounding us during this season of Thanksgiving! ~ Ms. Krista
