The VenueMcCOLL CENTER FOR VISUAL ARTMcColl Center for Visual Art is a nationally acclaimed, non-pro�t contemporary art center dedicated to connecting art and artists with the community. Located in a historic, neo-Gothic church in Uptown Charlotte, the Center houses nine artist studios and over 5,000 square feet of gallery space, hosting artists from across the region, nation and world. Artists inspire critical thinking and positive change. They interpret the past and invent the future. McColl Center for Visual Art’s residency program o�ers artists a place to live, work and engage the Charlotte community.

The EventPALATE TO PALETTE, FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6 at 7PMMore than just another wine-and-cheese art opening, Palate to Palette is the signature annual event of the Contemporaries of McColl Center for Visual Art. This lively event pairs six artists with six di�erent wines and spirits to form a unique relationship; a pairing of wine and art! Designed to take ticket holders on a journey for the senses, the event also features live music, delectable treats and creative cocktails. Now in its sixth year, Palate to Palette has truly earned its reputation as a "can't miss" event in Charlotte.

The AudienceThe Contemporaries of McColl Center for Visual Art are a vibrant, diverse group of art enthusiasts and artists whose events provide an exciting social avenue for exploration of contemporary art. Each member shares a desire to be an active participant of contemporary culture through intellectual stimulation combined with a seriously great party. Expected attendance at Palate to Palette 2013 is 375 of Charlotte’s young and young at heart. Palate to Palette 2012 sold out (to the disappointment of many) and generated more than $12,600 in art sales, 70% of which goes directly to the artist.

ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE HOST$250 ($120 in goods and services provided)

Hungry Artist Sponsors are restaurants, cafés, caterers and other food vendors who provide food for one or more stations located throughout the building during the event. Hungry Artist Sponsors provide canapés, hors’ d’oeuvres or desserts in-kind for at least 250 people at each station they sponsor. The Center will provide these sponsors with a tax receipt equal to the true market value of the goods donated to the event. Hungry Artist Sponsors will receive:
