Kicking off the year is An Acoustic Scandal, headed up by leading SA blues and folk guitarist, Dave “Rocky” Rhodes. Acoustic Scandal which includes Gini Hobson, vocalist, and Dennis “The Preacher” Surmon on double bass and vocals, will perform at P2P on Sunday 5 February between 2 and 5pm. y y Dave, a regular Sunday Super Session performer, is a superb guitarist having featured in the popular Adelaide bands The Last Train Home, and Gini & The Groove. Gini’s smooth funky soul voice reminds us of great cabaret blues singers from the golden years of club singers, and Denis on electric bass and vocals has been the pulse behind well known BIG SUPPORT FOR “LITTLE” ART Lynne Little’s superb 3D minature “ L L The Edmund” (pictured below) was the overwhelming winner of the People’s Choice vote in the 2011 Port Broughton Brush with our Heritage Art Prize. With over 40per cent of more than 200 votes, Lynne’s artwork was selected the most popular entry by both locals and visitors. The minature represented the historic cottage on the corner of Edmund Street and Harvey Street which was built in 1898 for Mr Humphrey Mildren who ran a blacksmiths forge next door. The Cottage is now owned and lovingly cared for by Bob and Marjorie Brown, the patrons for the Art Prize. Raffle winner Tracey Stringer is the winner of P2P’s Barunga Village Raffle of a gift basket kindly donated by the Barunga Village staff. P2P donates $1 from every pizza and Chef’s dessert, plus all of the raffle money raised to the Barunga Village Age Care Facility. groups such as Double Wammy, Sweet Baby James Trio, pan!c, and the Steve Brown Band. New Chef Jaimie Stevenson, who trained under renowned local Chef Danny Sauchelli -- the original driving force behind Moonta’s Seagate and La Cantina -- brings a fresh and innovative approach to P2P’s menu. Come and try our local seafood and steak dishes, summer salads and creative desserts using local produce where possible. Your traditional favorites, including our exclusive Thai style kangaroo, curries and pasta, are still available and our pizzas are more popular than ever. Prices range from $3.90 for starters and from $13.9 for main. Sunday brunch starts with local free range eggs on soughdough toast for $8.9 and you can add grilled tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms, local sausages and baked beans, or perhaps, a delicate housemade french style crepe with a selection of fillings, or choose from our a la carte menu.
