    1 Scope

    The requirements of this standard apply to the specialist areas and SGEs at the Bocholt, Wesel, Penigand Friedrichsfeld sites.

    2 General

    2.1 This works standard specifies all the priming coats for the standard and alternative treatment ofFLENDER products.

    2.1.1 No protective paint coat can be applied to surfaces which have been treated with preservative withoutpre-treatment (removal of the preservative).

    3 Highly chemical-resistant finishing coats, e.g. for use in clarification plants

    The following corrosion preventive medium has proved itself in a long-time test over three years.

    3.1 Priming coat

    P22 special coating, anthracene brown to W 2902 Table 1.3.2 Finishing coat

    2 x PU finishing coat 5240 HC, highly chemical-resistant. Colour: RAL 5015 sky blue, total coatthickness min. 135 mm. Alternative colours: see Table 2 under PU Thick Coat 5240. Highchemical-resistance is achieved by changing the mixture ratio (MR) by weight from 9:1 to 5:1. See alsoTable 2 RAL No. 5015.
