Designed for the classroom teacher who would like to get more hands on experience in painting as well at the working artist who would like to hone and challenge their artistic chops.

This class is designed for the beginner as well as the advanced artist in painting. Participants will create original painting utilizing concepts in design with emphasis on color, expressive application and experimentation in painting. Each project will give the teacher a variety of hands-on concepts which can be taken back to the classroom to interpret for high school, junior high or elementary grade levels. The projects will encourage the working artist to live in the moment and experiment with color, design and imagination. Projects are aligned to Wyoming Visual Arts Standards, including art criticism, art history, and assessment.

Personal challenges will be presented to implement the expressive use of design principles in various painting techniques with watercolor, pastels, acrylic or oil paints.
