Visit a restored B&O freight house, which displays local heritage that dates back to the early 1800’s. Visit and see a tradition of pickle processing that spans nearly 100 years. You will ex-perience the same art of fine pickle processing that be-gan in 1921 by founder Ralph Sechler. The original homestead still stands where Mr. Sechler packed pickles in the basement. Also featured is a rustic retail store open year round, with over 54 varieties of pickle products. Spencerville Covered BridgeCounty Road 68Spencerville, IN 46788

The bridge was built in 1873 to span the St. Joe River. Built of the Smith Truss, Variant Four standard design it was constructed of Michigan White Pine. It is the only covered bridge left of five that were once located in DeKalb County.

DeKalb County CourthouseAuburn, IN 46706

Built in 1911, this building is modern Ionic Greek in a parallelogram shape. The highlight of the building is the dome that is capped with Florentine Art Glass. Vermont marble is used extensively in the interior, including the corridor wainscoting and the stairs.

Supper on the BridgeSpencerville, IN 46788

The “Supper on the Bridge” will be held on Saturday, August 11th at 5 & 7 p.m. on the Spencerville Covered Bridge. This is the only covered bridge left in DeKalb County.
