These are the minutes of the Regular Board of Education meeting held on September 17, 2019. The meeting was called to order at 6:03 p.m. in the Brockport High School Lobby by Board President Carbone.
The following Board Members were in attendance: Terry Ann Carbone, President Jeffrey Harradine, Vice President David Howlett, Board Member Robert Lewis, Board Member Kathy Robertson, Board Member Michael Turbeville, Board Member
Also present were: Lesli C. Myers-Small, Ed.D. Superintendent of Schools Jeri lee DiLalla, Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources Darrin Winkley, Assistant Superintendent for Business Susan Hasenauer-Curtis, Assistant to the Superintendent for Elementary Instruction Rachel Kluth, Ed.D. Assistant to the Superintendent for Secondary Instruction Lynn Carragher, Assistant to the Superintendent for Inclusive Education Jill Reichhart, Treasurer and Finance Director Brandice Vivian, District Clerk Mike Cunningham Scott Morrison Jennifer Cropo Tresel Vick

ORDER OF THE AGENDA Mr. Turbeville moved, seconded by Mr. Lewis, the Board approved the order of the agenda. The motion carried 6-0.
MINUTES Ms. Robertson moved, seconded by Mr. Turbeville, the Board approved the September 3, 2019 Regular Meeting Minutes. The motion carried 6-0.
COMMUNICATION - PUBLIC COMMENT Mike Cunningham addressed the Board regarding opportunities available to the district through Elk's Lodge.
PRESENTATION TO THE BOARD Ms. Hasenauer presented on Strategic Planning, providing information on the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) to the Board to further examine ESSA's mandates and what they mean for Brockport Central
School District.

BOARD REPORTS • Ms. Carbone attended the MCSBA Legislative Committee meeting discussing Erin's Law signed
by Governor Cuomo and mandated funding. • Ms. Robertson attended the MCSBA Information Exchange Committee meeting where Youth
Assessment Surveys were discussed. • Ms. Carbone and Dr. Myers-Small attended the MCSBA Executive Committee meeting. They
gave updates relative to Committee, Treasurer, President and Executive Director Reports. Finally, they encouraged Board Members to attend the School Board Conference.

3. INSTRUCTIONAL PLANNING & SERVICES 3.1 Verbal - Susan Hasenauer, Assistant to the Superintendent for Elementary Instruction
• None. 3.2 Verbal- Rachel Kluth, Assistant to the Superintendent for Secondary Instruction
• Dr. Kluth provided updates on the upcoming Superintendent's Day on October 11, 2019. 3.3 Verbal - Lynn Carragher, Assistant to the Superintendent for Inclusive Education and Instruction
• Ms. Carragher provided an update on religious exemption for immunizations.
4. PERSONNEL Mr. Turbeville moved, seconded by Mr. Lewis, the Board approved personnel items 4.1 - 4.13.1. The motion carried 6-0.

4.7.2 Lauren Mazzucco, to be appointed as a probationary Bus Attendant in the Transportation Department effective September 18, 2019. Rate is set at $11.10 per hour. Probationary period begins on September 18, 2019 and ends on September 17, 2020.

donation from Brockport Rotary Club to support funds for the Brockport CSD Bookmobile. The motion carried 6-0.

6. PHYSICAL PLANT, SAFETY & SECURITY AND SUPPORT SERVICES 6.1 Mr. Lewis moved, seconded by Ms. Robertson, the Board approved the District-wide Safety Plan
2019-2020. The motion carried 6-0. 6.2 Mr. Harradine moved, seconded by Mr. Turbeville, the Board approved the School Building
Level Safety Plans 2019-2020. The motion carried 6-0. 6.3 Verbal - Darrin Winkley, Assistant Superintendent for Business
• Mr. Winkley spoke on the power-outage the evening of September 13, 2019 and what actions the district took.

7. HUMAN RESOURCES 7.1 Verbal-Jerilee DiLalla, Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources
• Ms. Di Lalla spoke on the Therapy Dog proposal.
8. REPORT OF THE SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS 8.1 Verbal - Dr. Lesli Myers-Small, Superintendent of Schools
• Dr. Myers-Small congratulated the newest class of 2019 graduates.

11. OTHER ITEMS OF BUSINESS

• Mr. Lewis shared ideas to focus on in the Budget and spoke on the new Red Flag Law. • Ms. Robertson inquired about the Exit Survey process to retirees. Ms. DiLalla provided
helpful information. • Ms. Carbone spoke about the upcoming Farm to Table event on October 5, 2019. She
encourages others to purchase tickets at Wegmans for this event, as it directly supports the students in our district.
• Ms. Carbone announced that she made a contribution to the Mental Health Association on the behalfofthe Board of Education.
12. Executive Session 12. l Mr. Harradine moved, seconded by Mr. Howlett, the Board adjourned Regular Session at 8:20 p.m.
The motion carried 6-0.
Mr. Harradine moved, seconded by Mr. Lewis, the Board entered Executive Session at 8:24 p.m. for the purpose of discussing a personnel matter. The motion carried 6-0.
Mr. Harradine moved, seconded by Mr. Lewis, the Board adjourned Executive Session at 9:03 p.m. The motion carried 6-0.
