INTRODUCTION
The CLM Trust, Ranipet a Registered Christian Voluntary Development Organisation was established on
19.12.2007. The registered office of the Trust is functioning at # 82/33, Zion Nagar, Ranipet – 632 401. Vellore
District, Tamil Nadu, INDIA.
VISION:
Transformed individuals reflecting the likeness of God resulting in Transformed Communities that care for
children and treat the predisposed (susceptible) with dignity.
MISSION:
Committed as servants of one another to build self-sustaining communities in association with faith based
organisation through individual transformation and empowerment with emphasis on strengthening existing
infrastructure.

(i) FAMILY BASED CHILDREN DEVELOPMENT (FBCD):
The following 06 children (whose parents have a low income) were identified to receive financial assistance
providing them SCHOOL FEES, BOOKS & NOTE BOOKS, SPECIAL FEES, UNIFORMS, SCHOOL BAGS and other study materials
for facilitating their education in schools in order to encourage them in their studies and personality stature.

Their parents are uneducated and daily wage workers in SHOE FACTORIES and industries in SIPCOT zone, Ranipet.
They could not pay personal attention to their children’s holistic development. Therefore this programme functions
Monday to Satuarday from 6 pm to 8 pm to benefit the children on following three counts:
1. To enhance their STANDARD OF EDUCATION by providing systematic tuition in all their subjects taught in their
school by qualified staff.
2. To cater to the needs of their PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT.
3. Provided NUTRITION SUPPLEMENTS with Snacks and Milk on all days.
Mrs. D. Getciyal, Multi Purpose Worker (MPW) continues to be in charge of the 2 tuition centres providing them
spiritual nurture to build students character. The following 4 volunteers bestowed their personal care and attention
by taking regular class every day based on the syllabus as per their subjects taught in the school to back up their
standard of learning

During the period under report, the children by virtue of the special tuition, ranked 1 to 3 in their respective
classes and improved very much in areas of discipline and behaviour. In appreciation and recognition of our
efforts, the children’s parents have started contributing a nominal amount on yearly basis.

Page 12 of 31 (iii) LIFE SKILL DEVELOPMENT (LSD):
The special emphasis of this programme is to develop the SCHOOL DROPOUT CHILDREN to pursue technical course for
a year or two in recognised Technical Institutions to develop their skills to have better opportunities for
employment.
During the year (April, 2013 – March, 2014), under this report, the following candidates were benefited to pursue
the courses as mentioned below:

During the above period, the level of education in their respective discipline was reported to be of high
standard and there was a good change in their personality development.
NEW PROGRAMMES:
(v) ARJWCDP, PUTHUR COMMUNITY – DAY CARE CENTRE (DCC): DCC continued its activity having 25 to 16 U – 5 children on roll, (14 Girls and 11 Boys) from Monday to
Fridays from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM under the care of Teacher Mrs. S. Vartha. The pre-school teaching they learnt
reciting English alphabets, Numbers, Vegetables and Flowers name besides some Rhymes. They were also
involved in different indoor games such as throw ball and ring ball etc.,One nutritious meal comprising of Rice,
Dhal and Vegetable were provided on all the 5 days every week. S.No

(v) ARJWCDP, PUTHUR COMMUNITY – TUITION CENTRE (TC):
TC is attended by around 50 children (30 Girls and 20 Boys) every month studying from U.K.G. to IXth standard.
Tuition Centre function from 5:30 to 7:30 PM and helps children to understand the subjects they find difficult.
Ms. P. Shoba and Ms. B. Jayapriya are volunteers graduate teachers from the community. They serve in this
centre after attending their regular jobs.

(v) ARJWCDP, PUTHUR COMMUNITY – TAILORING TRAINING CENTRE (TTC):
TAILORING TRAINING CENTRE is going on very well in 2 shifts (1) 10 AM to 12:30 PM and (2) 2 PM to 4:30
PM having 13 trainees in morning group and 11 trainees in IInd shift. Majority of women are school drop outs
who wish to enhance family income through Tailoring job in nearby Leather factories or start their own Tailoring
shop at homes. The trainees learned to sew items like SHIRT, FROCK, CHUDIDHAR, SKIRT, BLOUSE and
PETICOAT etc., Mrs. Hilda is the Tailoring Teacher who is enthusiastic in her work.

The batch of 2013 successfully completed the training and now we are planning GRADUATION ceremony in
this month.

Activities
ACTIVITIES
1. On 30.04.2013 PARENTS MEETING held at CBCD Avarakkarai and Nehru Nagar Tuition Centre. The
parents told that the tuition centre played a very important role in the development of their children and they
promised to admit more children to this tuition during the Academic year June, 2013 – April, l2014. The
education standard of the children were improved and moved to higher classes with good marks.
2. On 25.06.2013 Mr. Williams, Administrator, SANTHOME SCHOOL OF NURSING & COLLEGE,
BANGALORE visited and selected children for admission both GNM and B.Sc., Nursing course. There was

good response from the parents to admit their daughters. The students were all from village community and
were very happy to join the course.
3. Mr. David Raj, National Co-ordinator, OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD (OCC) visited CLM office on
09.07.2013 and met Vellore District Co-ordinator and other Co-ordinators of OCC and discussed with them
about the outcome of OCC (OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD) ministry being carried out in Vellore District
through CLM for the past 2 years. He then visited Kalavai village and participated in the Graduation function
of Discipleship Programme.
4. CHRISTINE MATHEWS BASIC HEALTH CARE PROJECT (CMBHCP), SEDUVALAI, VELLORE
DISTRICT of CLM TRUST was formerly inaugurated on 26.07.2013 as a separate unit.
5. ANNAI REBECCA JESUDASON WOMEN AND CHILDREN DEVELOPMENT PROJECT (ARJWCDP),
PUTHUR, (AMBUR PERNAMBUT ROAD), VELLORE DISTRICT of CLM TRUST in partnership with
INDIENHILFE, BANGALORE was inaugurated on 28.07.2013 at Puthur community centre at 5:30 PM. At
the function the following programmes were started DAY CARE CENTRE (DCC), TUITION CENTRE (TC)
and TAILORING TRAINING CENTRE (TTC).
6. On 23.08.2013 INTEGRAL MISSION WORKSHOP was conducted for community leaders in partnership
with WORLD VISON INDIA (WVI) at Multi Purpose Hall, S. M. Hospital, Ranipet. Dr. R. Chandrasekhar,
Director addressed the gathering. Mr. Allan Benjamin, Church Relations, WVI leading the whole session by
giving very useful and practical messages. A group discussion was also conducted. He then informed the
delegates that there would be 2 days Residential Training Programme in coming October, 2013.After the
prayer and benediction by the Director the meeting was closed after lunch at 2 pm.
Integral Mission Workshop for Pastors/Leaders in partnership with World Vision India
7. S.M.HOSPITAL, RANIPET approached CLM for help for the construction of NEW CASUALTY BLOCK. CLM
was able to raise Rs. 20,00,000/- through MANSION TRUST, U.K. and took part in the construction work.
The newly built Casualty block was dedicated on the HOSPITAL DAY on 03.09.2013 of SCUDDER
MEMORIAL HOSPITAL in the presence of C.S.I. BISHOP, VELLORE DIOCESE and OFFICE BEARERS
when the MISSION DIRECTOR OF RCA, USA was also present.
8. RETREAT was conducted on 09.09.2013 for the children of Tuition centres. 60 children and 2 volunteers
attended the meet. Mr. P. Noble Raj, CEF, VELLORE conducted the entire programme with action songs,
story telling through panel board and Puppet Show. The children enjoyed the programme. At the end
children were served with lunch.
9. On 04.10.2013 Mr. Venkataraman, Executive Committee Member, CLM Trust and his wife visited the
CBCD Avarakkarai and Nehru Nagar Tuition Centres and spent some time to encourage the children and

volunteers. They appreciated the work carried out in the centres. They commanded the services of the
volunteers serving there. All the children sang and did some entertainment. Few children gave the
testimony. Mr. Venkatraman donated a sum of Rs. 10,000/- to CLM. Mrs & Mr. Venkataraman visited our
community tuition centre
10. The INTEGRAL MISSION WORKSHOP held at SLR & TC, KARIGIRI, on 08.10.2013 to 10.10.2013. It was
RESEDENTIAL TRAINING PROGRAMME conducted in partnership with WORLD VISON INDIA, CHENNAI.
The following resource persons lead all the sessions on various topics on all the 3 days on workshop theme.

11. From 29.10.2013 to 31.10.2013 the OCC CONNECT CONFEERENCE was held at C.S.I. SYNOD OFFICE,
ROYAPETTAH, CHENNAI. The following OCC Vellore District Committee Members represented
REGIONAL LEADERS TEAM (RLT) in the conference: Rev. R. Dheenadayalan, (Prayer), Prof. Alpheus
Benjamin, (Logistics), Mr. C. Pushparaj (Discipleship), Mr. Babu Thomas,(General) and Mr. Immanuel
Chinnadurai, (Church) . It was discussed as how the SMARITAN GIFT BOX have to be distributed for the
upcoming year 2014.
12. On 20.11.2013 – 21.11.2013 Training for Trainers event was held in Chennai for OCC Discipleship purpose.
Mr. C. Pushparaj (Discipleship Co-orinator) and Mr. Prem Singh attended the meet.
13. PARENTS MEETING was held on 24.11.2013 at AVARAKKARAI and NEHRU NAGAR TUITION
CENTRES. The parents at both centres expressed the heartfelt appreciation for the good performance of
the teachers in their teaching and bringing their children in their holistic development. They particularly
expressed their children performing their best in their education.
14. Christmas celebrations held on 17.12.2013 at CHRISTINE MATHEWS BASIC HEALTH CARE PROJECT
(CMBHCP), SEDUVAALAI. Dr. Kumudha, Medical Director, CMBHCP presided the function. Director, CLM
& CMBCHP staffs participated in the celebration. Mrs. Alice Pushapraj, Project Officer, CMBHCP
Co-ordinated the programe. Dr. C. Bennett Chandran & Dr (Mrs). Anita Benntt were the Chief Guests.
15. 20.12.2013 COMMUNITY BUIDERS CONFERECE was conducted by Dr. C. Bennett Chandran. 71 Pastors
and Community Leaders attended the conference. He spoke on the Theological studies on Old Testament.
16. Christmas celebrations were held at Avarakkarai Tuition Centre on 05.01.2014 at 6:30 PM. Children and
their parents attended the function. Our Director shared the word of God. Children performed lot of cultural
programme and witnessed to their own local community. Gifts were distributed to the tuition children and
volunteers. Delicious dinner was also served.

Page 24 of 31 17. 10.01.02014 The MINISTRY PARTNERS TRAINING of OCC was held at Multi Purpose Hall, S. M. Hospital,
Ranipet. 114 Pastors attended the meeting. Mr. Charles Barnabas, Church Co-ordinator, OCC TN State
presided over the meeting. Dr. R. Chandrasekhar, District Co-ordinator, RLT – Ranipet (Vellore), OCC and
its co-ordinators spoke on various points.
18. On 31.01.2014 the INTEGRAL MISSION WORKSHOP follow up meeting was conducted by WORLD
VISON INDIA for those who already attended the above workshop held at SLR & TC, Karigiri from
08.10.2013 to 10.10.2013. 19 Pastors attended. Mr. Allan Benjamin, WVI & his team from Chennai.
19. On 15.02.2014 OCC DWT TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR TEACHERS was held at Multipurpose Hall, S.
M. Hospital, Ranipet. 101 Teachers attended the Training. Mr. C. Pushparaj, Mr. C. Babu Thomas & Mr.
Prem Singh took the class with practical training. The training was from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
20. On 11.03.2014 WORLD VISON INDIA conducted YOUTH MEETING for young people from the churches
who already participated in seminar and workshop conducted at KARIGIRI and Ranipet on Integral Mission
Workshop. The meetings held in two spells from 04.03.2014 to 07.03.2014 & 11.03.2014 to 14.03.2014. Mr.
Allan Benjamin and its team from WVI participated in the meetings. CHARACTER SOLUTION,
BANGALORE spoke on Character Development. 37 participated in the 1st spell & 16 participated in the 2nd
spell.
21. On 23.03.2014 A RETREAT for the Community Tuition children of Avarkkarai & Nehru Nagar was held at 5
PM at the premises of CLM Central office. The CEF (CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP), VELLORE
team conducted many cultural programme. The children enjoyed the entire programme. About 67 children
23 community people participated in the programme. Delicious Dinner was served after the programme got
over.
22. A COMMUNITY GET TOGETHER was held for the TUITION CENTRE CHILDREN, VOLUNTEERS,
TAILORING TRAINEES at a picnic spot near ARJWCDP, PUTHUR on 31.03.2014. 45 Tuition Children and
23 Tailoring Trainees with 3 Volunteers attended the programme. Rev. K. Victor, Chairman, ARJWCDP,
PUTHUR co-ordnated the programme. From CLM office Dr. R. Chandrasekhar, Director, Dr (Mrs). Suguna

CONCLUSION
We are grateful to God for all His grace, guidance, protection and help throughout the year April, 2013 – March,
2014 without which the activities of the Trust would not have developed to this extent.
As a result of the excellent performance of our 5 programmes many fresh proposals for starting new projects
have been coming up from some partner agencies. And they will be implemented as and when approved on a
planned manner during April, 2013 – March, 2014. We are grateful to our sponsors, Donors and Friends who
have supported our work with their fervent prayers and gracious patronage.

Future Plans
FUTURE PLANS : TO IDENTIFY NEEDY AREAS IN THE STATES OF BIHAR,
JHARKHAND, RAJASTHAN, MADHYAPRADESH AND UTTARPRADESH AND TAKE FOLLOWING STEPS:
a. Facilitate women to get organised in SELF-HELP GROUPS
through intensive practical training to make the groups
eligible to get linked with BANKS/Government WELFARE
PROGRAMMES and start small scale business.
b. Identify available skill/talents among such women and help
them to sharpen further and lead their respective
groups/community in developing their trades.
c. Pick-up the bright and progressing youths/children of such
communities and arrange for further/higher skill

development/education,to make them employable.
d. Reinforce the existing school’s education-standard, by
providing VOLUNTEER-TEACHERS selected from nearby
cities paying them honorarium and travel etc.,
e. Refer and facilitate sick and malnourished children to get
proper treatment at nearby Government/Private Hospitals
either free or on nominal charges.
f. Imparting pre-school education with once a day nutritious
meal for U-5 children.
g. Encouraging and organising Farmers in SHGs to learn and
adopt the new methods of Agriculture being introduced by
Government Agriculture department in their areas to
improve Agriculture output.
h. Helping and bringing ARTISANS in SHGs to learn and
adopt new techniques related to their respective trades, to
produce quality products.
