SERVICESThe new paddocks will house all of the services in one place, along with having a streamlined structure. The technical services will be optimized, notably in the control tower and media areas(fiber optic, technical rooms).

ARCHITECTURE The building will have impressive window space and design affording plenty of light, and a contemporary architecture.

INSPIRATIONThe building’s architectural design strives to re-create aspects of Expo 67, notably by making a ceiling grid reminiscent of the Biosphere structure (the former United States Pavilion) and the Canada Pavilion.

The 3rd storey will be open-air on the sides, promoting more light and an uninterrupted view overlooking Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve and the Olympic Basin.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENTThe project will be done in a sustainable development manner, notably by the installation of solar panels on the terrace and a white roof made from wood. From the call for tenders’ standpoint, the SPJD is allowing the use of three construction materials in the building process: wood, steel and concrete. As a result the Société is enabling a greater opening up of the market.
