Welcome to your second Peter Rabbit™ winter adventure at-home activity pack.

Inside, you’ll meet Squirrel Nutkin and Mr. McGregor. They’ve been working hard to get ready for wintry weather, but they need your help! Join them for some fun at-home activities that will let you get creative and colourful this winter.

  • Use the template below to draw and colour in an oak tree home for Squirrel Nutkin. Don’t forget to include a little door, so Squirrel Nutkin can easily get inside to shelter from wintry weather.

    Did you know?

An oak tree can grow to a height of around 25 metres. That’s more than 5 double decker buses.

    Activity 1

Can you draw a home for Squirrel Nutkin?

  • Make a pinecone robin

    Activity 2

Mr. McGregor is busy making a winter wreath, but he needs some pinecones to add a finishing touch! Can you find some pinecones and make a pinecone robin for Mr. McGregor?

    Instructions

    • A pinecone • A couple of red

lollipop sticks• A couple of yellow

    lollipop sticks• Glue

    • 2 googly eyes• Red tissue paper• A small piece of

    yellow card• Scissors (optional)

    You will need

    1. Lay the pinecone on its side. Glue three or four red and yellow lollipop sticks to the base of the pinecone to create the robin’s tail feathers. Make sure they stick upright.

    2. Put two small blobs of glue at the narrow top end of your pinecone and add the googly eyes.

    3. Tear off some small pieces of red tissue paper and scrunch them up into balls.

    4. Glue the tissue paper balls to the front of the pinecone to make the robin’s chest.

    5. Finally, fold or cut a small piece of yellow card into a triangle and stick it on as a beak.
