LogosDescription:Logo for an organization

Process:

I really had a fun time creating this project. I decide to do anothe logo becuase I love Illustrator. In this design I decided to do a logo for a local company here in Rexburg. Thursdays is a local clothing outlet and they sell Costco clothing at a dis-counted rate. I had a few ideas that I played around with until I came up with this. I really feel like the clothing hanger does a good job at describing what the store is all about while the price tag wording helps to tie in why you need to shop there.

Audience: Anyone who likes good clothes for cheap.

Top Thing Learned: How to tie in a theme to a logo.

ImagingDescription: Demonstrate good photography and image editing skills. Incorporat-ing color into a poster layout with original photo.

Process (Programs, Tools, Skills: I formulated my plan by first establishing a con-sistent color scheme. I really tried to focus on color and also on message. I knew the message that I wanted to share needed to be powerful. I made sure to use good light and focus with a blurred background. The camera I used was a Conon T3I with a 50mm lends. I then took my image into Photoshop and used these editing techniques such as color balance, levels, sharpness, and saturation. I designed a 8.5 x 11 layout that include a quote my edited image and a few shaped and my col-or scheme. I then fixed a few things based on my critiques.

Message: I wanted to inspire people using a great photo, quote and color scheme.

Audience: BYU-Idaho students and faculty, and the worldwide work force.

Top Thing Learned: I learned how to pick a color scheme and stick with it in the photo shooting process.

Color scheme: Monochromatic: Brick

I really wanted to have my Logo speak to it’s au-dience.I made the parachute because it resembled a child’s imagination to me. After I had the basic shapes I played around with font’s for quite a while until I found the right one. I then decided to type on a path to get the type to follow my curve on that basket.

StationeryDescription:Matching letterhead and business card designed using a personally created logo.

Process (Programs, Tools, Skills):

I started out with some simple shapes in Adobe Illustrator. I cut them with the shape builder tool until I felt that my shapes were recognizable. I then contin-ued to format my document in in-design.

I decided to create my letterhead first. I brought it up to the top of the page and left aligned it so that my text wasn’t center aligned. Then I brought my logo in and placed it up in the corner. After that I added similar box at the bottom of the document to create contrast for the wording and repetition for the shapes.I then added a watermark to make my document seem more playful.

On my second page I used the Logo that I created and I also used the repeating boxes to create contrast for the wording and repetition for the shapes. I also turned my logo so that it appeared to be floating through the air.I feel like this helped the message become more clear.

Web AdDescription:A web page designed to showcase a personally created logo.

Process (Programs, Tools, Skills):I created this web page using only Notepad ++. I have little to no experience cre-ating HTML/CSS. This was much harder that I expected it to be. Even though this was much more difficult that I had previously anticipated it was so much fun creating a website of my own.

The first thing that I did was I inserted my logo into the website. After I did that I began to fill in my pre-loaded HTML document with my information. After I was done with that I then went into my CSS to make some design changes. Overall I wanted to make sure that it looked elegant so I put a paisley looking image into my background to help this effect come to life.
