Hagia Sophia

Built in the 4th century, Hagia Sophia is one of the most

impressive land marks of Istanbul. After suffering several

fire incidents and destructions, the current structure was

built in the 6th century. It served as a Patriarchal cathedral

until 1453, when it was converted into a mosque by the

Ottomans. Until 1931, for almost 5 centuries, it remained

as the mosque of Istanbul. On 1935, Hagia Sophia was

converted into a museum.

Location: Sultanahmet

Topkapı Palace

Topkapı Palace was the residence of the Ottoman Sultans

for almost 400 years. Today, the palace is converted into a

museum serving as a major tourist attraction. Weapons,

armor, shields, Islamic relics and the Ottoman treasury are

exhibited for visitors. Topkapı Palace is one of the major icons

of Istanbul, reflecting the historic aspect of the city. The view

TAV Group was established in 1997, as a joint venture between

the major founding shareholders Tepe and Akfen Groups

following their successful bid for the Istanbul Ataturk Airport
